Audio files album Art does not display on PS3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. View a music file with album art on the ps3

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Album art display is expected, but none is shown. Music files all play
correctly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PS3MediaServer 1.00, Vista SP1 x64, PS3 2.53

Please provide any additional information below.
Not a huge deal but it was the only feature for me that was lost when I
switched from tversity to ps3mediaserver. Album art has two common ways of
being saved. It can be found either embedded into the music file tags or as
a folder image (usually folder.jpg).

Refresh issues (DVD Title and VIDEO_TS)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Insert a DVD into Media Server
2. Play a Track on the PS3
3. Change the DVD to a new one with the main title in a different location.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: New DVD title and VIDEO_TS play list to reflect the new DVD
Actual: Old DVD title and VIDEO_TS play list

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.00 with Microsoft XP Media Center

Please provide any additional information below.
I was using it to play a PAL Regional DVD series (Works wonderfully :D!!)
The solution i came up with was to "Restart HTTP". This did not always
get the title correct, but seemed to fix the VIDEO_TS play list problem.
I think the problem is actually with the PS3 firmware, but hopefully
there will be a quick fix!

[Video] tsMuxer DTS -> AC3 wrong channels order

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. using a MKV Video File with DTS Audio (6 channels dca is displayed on
PS3 Preview Thumbnail)
2. Using TSMuxer and MPlayer/FFmpeg Audio
3. In "Video decoder settings" of TsMuxer is "Force FPS parsed..." and
"Force AC3 remuxing with all files" checked.

What is the expected output? What do you hear instead?
I've tried a few different mkv Video Files with DTS Sound, but all mix up
the left and the Center speaker, so the talking comes out of the left
speaker. Of course you can just switch the two speakers while watching a
movie, but thats rather annoying over time ;)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Java PS3 Media Server v 1.00
Windows XP Pro Media Center Edition

Please provide any additional information below.
The described issue occurs with TsMuxer, but not with MEncoder,
unfortunately my PC is too weak to use MEncoder.
TsMuxer is able to stream 1080p Videos flawlessly with my AMD 4800 Dual
Core CPU.

Many thanks and greetings,
Chris

[Video] YUV/RGB issue ?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play a movie with H264 (AVC-1) video :)
2. It happens with most videos

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

With mencoder or Avisynth/mencoder, black is not well rendered: I don't
see the details in the dark parts of the image and it's in all plain
black. It's the same problem seen on dvd's with the 0-255 RGB activated
and 16-235 YUV range used in the video.
I tried to change the PS3 Video Settings (Limited/Full) and the Video
Settings (Auto, RGB, YUV) but the result is always the same.
I also tried several options for mencoder (-vf yuvcsp, -vf format=yv12,
etc.) but is doesn't work.
The difference can be viewed on PC with CoreAVC by changing the output
levels (TV=16-235 and PC=0-255). See the attached files

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

PS3 2.53 + Vista + PMS rev. 64 + latest version of ffmpeg/mencoder from
Sherpya

Please provide any additional information below.

Attached a small part of the debug file and two images of what I can see
on the PS3 (0-255) and what I'd like to see (16-235)

[Video] TsMuxer remuxing and audio priority + muxing all audio, not only first one

Problems when using TsMuxeR:
1. When DTS audio used, no sound played also when PCM remuxing for DTS
enabled
2. Audio priority set for MEncoder posible to be used also for TsMuxeR in
future?
3. Possible to mux all audio, not only first track? PS3 can switch between
them when .mkv remuxed with MsMuxer to .m2ts and streamed.
4. If not all above, it is possible to create same "shortcuts" as in
Transcoded folder for every audio when streamed with TsMuxeR?
Sometimes when streaming and forwarding...audio gets unsynced but when you
stop and play in short time, movie continues from same point and synced
audio. But on some movies(transcoded, remuxed? = not natively played as
DivX,XviD,...) movie start from begining. It is possible to start it from
stop point?
When playing DVD images, folders: No possibility to change/choose audio.
I am using Win XP and your 1.01 beta version.
Many thanks
ExSport

Enhancement

Is it possible to flag a file as "viewed" or be able to delete a file once
played from the PS3? Recorded tv shows have very similar file names from
Vista Media Center and it can be confusing knowing what has been watched
and can be deleted vs what is unwatched. Small thing I know but would be
handy. TIA

Can't make it work :(

Hi,

After the extraction when I try to run PSM, I get missing file lines like
in debug-1.log. For solving this I copied all files and dirs in the Win32
directory to programs root directory (C:\PSM\Win32\*.* -> C:\PSM\). When I
tried again this time program stuck at mkfifo line like debug-2.log. After
that even if I quit from PSM, mkfifo is still stays running at the
backgroud and I have to kill it manually.

Hope you guys can help me

Windows not recognized as server host: unplayable files

Hi,
I have installed the media server application on a windows xp environment.

I have tried many different types of movie files (such as mkv or avi) but
could not manage to view them on PS3.

I got the error message "Corrupted Data" or "The file type is not
supported"

I havent changed the default values of the application yet. So shall I
make some changes in order to view movie files on PS3?

Thanks,
Regards

Enable subtitles with 'off' as default + include audio/subtitle language combinations

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enabling subtitles but wanting them off by default, and in certain
combinations with audio language isn't possible.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
In the subtitles language priority box 'off' should be an allowed value
that turns off subtitles. Expanded feature request below.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.00, Windows XP SP2

Please provide any additional information below.
For this issue, I was thinking a good setup would be something similar to
Haali's Media Splitter. Haali's splitter has a setting called 'Audio and
Subtitle Languages'. In it you can select the preffered combination of
audio languages and subtitles. For example, if I wanted to first use
Japanese audio and English subtitles, and if this isn't possible try
English audio with no subtitles, the settings would be 'jpn, eng;eng, off'.

Mac OS X support

There is currently no support for OSX.

I tried running the Linux version but got the following java error:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad

The java version on OSX is Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition

I'm guessing Java 6 is required.

partialy could help but you can't create one JP with shortcut to 7

Long Delay Before Showing File Listing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a folder with many large image files (say a few hundred 8mp
jpegs), and a few video files
2. Over WiFi, go into the Video section of the PS3 and browse the folder to
select a video
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to see video files listed relatively quickly. Instead it takes about
60-90 seconds before the list of video files shows up.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.0 on Windows XP

Please provide any additional information below.
The orange light on PS3 is flashing while I'm waiting for the videos to
show up, so I am guessing it's trying to process through all the image
files before it can display the video files.

Video jerky when using MEncoder and A/V sync correction ON

BUGS:
When using Mencoder on almost all mkv, sometimes xvid(others not tested)
files and A/V sync correction is disabled, video every second freezes for
some ms=video is jerky(it seems that video rewind few ms back and play
again). When I enable A/V sync correction, video plays smoothly but when
forwarding, audio gets out of sync. When I disable A/V sync correction,
audio is synced also when forwarding.
Also it is not possible to disable only Inteligent A/V correction. Always
is enabled after save and restart of application when A/V sync correction
is enabled+Inteligent disabled.
When audio have no lang tag(unknown), your application ignores this track.
Tried to enable/disable "Force framerate parsed..." but it didn't helped
with problems mentioned above.
Thanks for your great work;-)

[General] Xbox 360 support

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Xbox 360 supports an (admittedly broken) implementation of UPnP.
2. free UPnP servers that support it under linux are terrible. the best is
TwonkyVision, and TwonkyVision stinks.
3. if ps3mediaserver supported it, people stuck with these machines would
buy you beer.

[Video] A/V sync issues when playing ISO and VIDEO_TS folders

I'm using windows vista and PS3 media server v1.00

Problem 1 - audio/video are out of sync
1. Check the "A/V out of sync correction" checkbox in the "Transcoder
settings->Mencoder Player Tab.
2. Play video from a video_ts folder
3. It should be out of sync

Problem 2 - Video does not play
1. Uncheck the "A/V out of sync correction" checkbox in the "Transcoder
settings->Mencoder Player Tab".
2. Play video from a video_ts folder. Some dvds will not play. Checking the
a/v sync correction checkbox will make it play, but the audio and video are
out of sync. One example of a dvd like this is ghost rider

IPv6 enabled, no PMS on the PS3, despites a Search Request from it

After updating PMS to version 1.01 the problem of the wrong multicast
address has been fixed. I have set a forced IP in the PMS.conf. It should
take an internal interface to listen on.

I start PMS with the console option, because I have no X or Windows/Mac on
the server. In the console, PMS claims to be visible on the PS3. But it
isn't. When I search for UPnP servers, I don't see the PMS. I have tried it
with my PS3, a Denon AVR3808 with network and UPnP and a Linux upnp scanner
software. They all don't see the PMS.

As alternative, I use fuppes. That is working, because all my UPnP devices
can see the UPnP server. But only the fuppes one, not the PMS one.

This is happening all the time, so I can reproduce the problem anytime
here. I have removed all the mp3 streams and youtube links in the web.conf.

System specs:
AMD 64bit 3,5Ghz
Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
java version "1.6.0_07"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_07-b06)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 10.0-b23, mixed mode)
6 NICS where 3 virtual. Like VPN, IPv6 Tunnel etc.
Using wired connections in the network.

Also I attach the debug.log file.

I am not able to shutdown my IPv6 tunnel. It is needed for my server. I can
