It's already been improved significantly and we decided to wait for Avalonia v11 and its new renderer which will improve it even more.

The problem is that this is a wallet, not a 3D game, A fading animation doesn't display any useful data and indicates nothing, it's not user intuitive (i had to open this issue to find its purpose), and goes against the simplicity and user-friendlyness that Wasabi promotes as its key values.

What's the purpose of this windows animatio

It shows you that the conjoin entered the critical phase, which is an important period and for example the software shouldn't be closed during that time.

Since when an animation tells me inequivocally that the software should not be closed while it's running ? That's bad GUI design. wouldn't it better to provide a simple textbox showing the phase of the coinjoin (just like V1, don't fix what's not broken)

Why does a wallet software needs to use GPU in the first place ??

You can disable it from Settings -> Advanced -> Enable GPU. (Note that, your CPU will be used much more, which also the answer to your question)

Why does a wallet program need to use GPU or CPU to display fancy resource intensive animations that give no hint about what the program is doing? This is one of the main downsides of Wasabi, the GUI seems half-cooked yet it's is highly resource intensive, too much empty space everywhere, strange number formats(eg 0.1000 3131), endless scrolling lists surrounded by ,again, empty space, lack of useful status information, and non-conformance to industry GUI standards.

The problem is that this animation takes resources unnecessarily. More than a year ago we tried to fix #7455 but we it seems we abandoned it.

These two suggestions would have been at least good enough:
