Pokemon GO Assets

Repository of all mined assets, including sprites, sounds, and news items. This repo is organized based on category and is a combination of downloaded/remote assets and assets found inside the APK.

NOTE: Looking for something that's not in the repo? Check out our temporary scratch folder: https://pokeminers.com/scratch. This is where assets will live (unorganized) until we have a chance to update the repo. Once added to the repo, they will be removed from the scratch folder.

Folder Structure

Images

All 2D images of all assets that we mine are located here. Assets are organized based on category, such as Pokemon, Items, Backgrounds, etc.

3D Assets

All 3D models and their textures (if present) of all assets that we mine are located here. Assets are organized based on category, such as Pokemon, Items, Clothing, etc.

Sounds

All sound effects and music that are mined are found here. They are organized by category such as Pokemon Moves, Music, Menu Sounds, etc.

Texts

Mined text assets which contain quests among other things will be found here. Inside there are two folders, one for Latest APK and one for Latest Remote. When Niantic pushes a text update, it's pushed to the Remote. Once a new APK is released, all remote pushes are merged into the APK and removed from the Remote; therefore, we maintain both.

Note: Keep in mind it is expected that the Remote will have items removed from it after a new APK is released.

Candy Color Data

The JSON structure that the game uses to generate the in-game candy colors.

Index files for texts

Would it be possible to get index files for each of the folders in Texts? Preferably as a JSON but I can make whatever work.

The future of 2D Addressable Assets?

Hello Marty et al,

I’ve read your update note. I certainly appreciate where you’re coming from. What a pain that Niantic feels the need to change obfuscation so frequently. None of us can grasp why they are so against enthusiastic players trying to make tools to make the game more enjoyable.

To that end, I’ve been contributing to maintaining a shiny checklist tool that links to images in the pokeminer Addressable Asset GitHub database. You’ll recall recently schooling me about the scratch folder etc. (thanks for that).

Reading between the lines of your update note, I’m curious how obfuscated the 256x256 2D images assets are. Are we quickly going to lose out on new 2D assets as your mining tools cease to work?

Thanks again for your great work. It’s been fun following you and the pokeminer team on Twitter (RIP), I mean X, and using the mined assets for a fun shiny checklist tool.

P.S. if you could slip the 2D 256x256 Snorlax with Nightcap and Flying Pikachu with Orange Balloons assets into the main Addressable Assets hierarchy, our tool would be up to date at least for now

Mapping from image "form ID's" to form names

Hi,

Sorry I can't find this information anywhere else and was wondering how you are doing it.

You seem to be taking the pokemon assets names (such as: pokemon_icon_019_61.png) and are able to convert it into what it "actually" is (such as: pm19.fALOLA.icon.png)

Is there a mapping somewhere in the game master that is letting you do that, or is this a manual step you have created?

Problem with eye textures when importing fbx

Hi guys. It seems that there is an issue with the eye textures when importing the .fbx to a 3d viewer. I tried with the built-in 3D viewer of Windows and it seems that all textures but the eyes are loaded.

Can you please check it out or mention a different 3D viewer where the fbx will be loaded without any issues?

PS. I noticed the issue in several pokemons like bulbasaur, ivysaur, graveler. On the other hand, sigilyph was imported without any issues

Hindi and Thai

Apparently, there are tons of broken Hindi and Thai character encodes. Is there a way to fix this as soon as possible? Thanks.

3D Model

Hi, when i open pokemon 3d model the eyes never work. i use blender. What you recommend? Thanks

missing mouth textures

I wanted to use the pm0554_31 model and noticed that the mouth texture is missing. I've seen only a couple of models that got one (like pm0122_31). Is it possible for you to add those textures?

Shiny Swinub is Angry

It looks like Images/Pokemon/Addressable Assets/pm220.s.icon.png is using the shiny shadow asset with red eyes instead of the normal one.

[APK Texts] quest_special_dialogue_hoopaunbound_0_7 incorrect in Spanish and Thai

quest_special_dialogue_hoopaunbound_0_8 also appears to be missing. [Edit: It was removed for every language.]

Edit: All of portuguese, chinese, german, spanish, turkish, and thai have their 0_7 wrong, and russian + thai have their 2_6 wrong.

It looks like files for Cobalion are missing, in as there isn't anything at Images/Pokemon/pokemon_icon_638_00.png or Images/Pokemon - 256x256/pokemon_icon_638_00.png.

Duplicate Castform Image

Both are just Castform's normal form, 351_00.png seems to just be a lower resolution.

Emolga Images Not Trimmed

The following appear like they weren't trimmed before being committed.

Candy RGB values

it is to my understanding that the game uses 3 "white"(they have detail) textures to make the candies, two of which it colors and the third being a shine that is puts as the top layer, is there a file on here that has the rgb values that the game applies to the two parts mentioned earlier?
im fairly certain that he XL candy uses the same values and unless im wrong, the "mega candy" have their own values, are those here to?
if there isn't, could you make such a file and perhaps add the values for the removed hitmonlee and hitmonchan candies as well?

Gothitelle Assets Missing

It appears that the following assets aren't in master:

Item image naming vs. ZeChrales

I'm in the process of migrating from using ZeChrales' repo and I'm missing several item images I assumed I would find. For example:

  • Item_0001.png (Pokeball)
  • Item_0002.png (Great Ball)

I wonder, were they just renamed for convenience in his repo (pokeball_sprite.png, greatball_sprite.png), or are they slightly different images and missing from yours? The id based names made it trivial to link to quest reward ids whereas with these names I'd have to build a lookup table / symlink them.

Togepi & Buneary Flower Assets Missing

It appears that the following assets aren't in master:

Issues with textures/materials of Pokemon

Hi, I'm trying to use the first gen Pokemon 3D Models and I'm having some issues with the textures. I'm trying to use them with ThreeJS 's FBX Loader, the model loads fine except for the textures. I've tried opening it in blender and the textures does not seem to be mapped properly. I'm quite new to all of this, is there something that I can do to fix this issue?

Addressable assets

Is there any system for Pokemon assets naming?
Can I know for sure is it old style or new one?
Or just trial and error method?
Look in new place - if missed try old place?

About Galar Pokemon image paths

Some new Galar Pokemon images only store in Addressable Assets.

For example (Zacian):

  • Images\Pokemon - 256x256\Addressable Assets\pm888.icon.png

Expected:

  • Images\Pokemon - 256x256\pokemon_icon_888_00.png (something like that)

I'm already read this issue #22, but I still have a question.

The images that format is Images\Pokemon - 256x256\pokemon_icon_xxx_yy.png will be deprecated soon, right?

Addressable Assets folder misses many Pokemons for now.

Do you have any suggestion can map all Pokemon for programming?

I can see Badge_9.png but for some reason it's Green?
In fact, all the new platinum badges show as green?

Shop 3D assets missing

Hi! First of all, I would like to thank you for all your hard work. A couple of months ago I was looking at all the stuff inside 3D assets, and I remember I could see all the objects from the shop, as well as Pokécoins. Now I cannot find them, could it please be possible to have them again in the repo?
