It's not working because onDetailPanelExpandedRowIdsChange is never getting fired. This event handler corresponds to the master detail panels and not row-grouping rows. If you want to target this on the row expansion change, you can bind to the rowExpansionChange event that is fired by the grid whenever a row is expanded or collapsed.

Here is the modified sandbox where I can see it working with the row expansion and collapse: https://codesandbox.io/p/sandbox/scrollexpand-forked-ycv9hc?file=%2Fdemo.tsx%3A38%2C5, let me know if you are looking for a similar result.

Sidenote: I can see that you are still using v5 of the Data Grid, I'd appreciate you upgrading to the latest stable v6 or the upcoming v7 to get the tons of performance improvements, bug fixes, and new amazing features. If you are facing any difficulties in the migration process, let me know and I'll try to assist you as much as I can.

Thank You!
