Thanks for the bug report.
It looks like there is a bunch of loose pointer typing going on from different pushes over the years. No easy fix here, so I'll need to go through each one and work out what the correct typing should be.

Alright I've pushed a fix which should hopefully resolve this (explicit type casts to c_char). I don't have easy access to an aarch64 build environment, so could you test and let me know if it's working?

I built ea577e2 on M1 Mac using the Dockerfile in the description and docker for mac. Then ran it on a t4g.medium EKS node.
Worked great.
