officiumprog's Issues

Alleluias missing in the antiphons of St. Michael (Sept. 29)

  1. The second and fifth antiphons for the psalms at Lauds should have an alleluia at the end (cf. ed. typica, 1198). These same antiphons are also used for terce (2nd antiphon), none (5th), and vespers.
  2. The antiphon for the Benedictus should also have an alleluia at the end (cf. ibid., 1199).

The alleluia correctly appears in the antiphon for the Magnificat.

Typos in office of St. Matthew

There are typos in the 1960 Rubrics office for St. Matthew:
Pofficium.pl?date1=9-21-2011&command=prayMatutinum&version=Rubrics%201960&testmode=regular&lang2=Latin&votive=

  1. In lectio 5, "regempatrem" (should be 2 words) and ", Matthaeum.," instead of "; Matthaeum,".
  2. In the responsory after lectio 7, "in unes orbis terrae verba eorum" ("unes" should be "fines").

For some reason, these don't appear on divinumofficium.com, even though the errors are present in the data file.

License

Hi, do you know the terms of use? (Or are you allowed to specify these on your own?)

Maybe I would like to fork this repo and make a version supporting just one historical version (that of 1962), but several particular calendars (eventually with the possibility of creating and submiting custom ones). But I don't want to base my work on a codebase with unclear legal status...

Psalm 2:1 missing an "et"

The second half of Psalm 2:1 should read "et populi meditati sunt inania". The "et" is missing. Both the online text of the Vulgate and the Seduni 2008 printing of the breviary have it.

This correction cannot, of course, be verified with the 1961 editio typica, because that uses the revised psalms promulgated by Pius XII.

Wrong hymn for matins of St. Thérèse of Lisieux

The hymn at matins is the one for a virgin martyr. St. Thérése should obviously use the other hymn, which begins with the same words, but has 3 strophes instead of 5.

The fact that both hymns begin with the same words may be the problem, since officiumprog refers to hymns by their first words.
