install_raspi-config's Introduction

install_raspi-config

Script to install raspi-config on Raspberry Pi devices with an Linux OS that's missing it. Like Kali Linux. Must be run as root or with sudo.

sudo sh install.sh

The reference for the raspi-config package being installed might not be the latest one, since I don't update this script with each new version. So use the installed raspi-config to update itself.

install_raspi-config's Issues

Raspberry Pi 4 with Ubuntu 20.04

Given the RPi4 has a whole new boot loader for launching from SD card, I was able to use your script to install RASPI-CONFIG on Ubuntu 20.04 but when I launch it I get:

The boot partition is not mounted - cannot configure.

Any suggestions on how I might get that to work?

Update

When tried to update the raspi-config getting error

Script fails on OSMC

PRETTY_NAME="Open Source Media Center"
NAME="OSMC"
VERSION="September 2015"
VERSION_ID="2015.09-2"

The script works fine checking for dependencies until it tries to install the debian package and fails with this message:
dpkg: error processing archive raspi-config_20121028_all.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
raspi-config_20121028_all.deb

However, I was able to manually install the package after wget'ing it and running "dpkg -i package.deb"
