Generally, when you exit an Area, the HUD disappears with a fadeout effect. Now, this effect is gone, so even when it fades to black, it stays until the next map is loaded.
I think it have something to do with the "Hide HUD" option.
There's no suck problem in vanilla. By the way, to be more specific, you don't even need to activate it.
If the L options is on, it does that. If CodeHook features are disabled, it act as normal.
It begun to do that since : 79cc680 .
