chrome-deluge-remote's Issues

New user - nothing works

I just installed v1.1. I can log into Deluge via Chrome with no issues, but I have no right click options and it will not connect to my server using either url or ip. Suggestions?

Setting a label

Hello

I just started using the extension and it works great - nice work!
Is there currently any functionality for setting the label of a torrent?
It would be awesome to set the label on the fly as you add a torrent.

Keep up the good work.

Rework UI

Currently the UI is designed around having the torrents' details in columns. Intention is to rework this such that each torrent will have it's own little table of information that will be laid out in multiple lines.

Torrent title
Size X MB of Y MB (% complete) / Speed / ETA
[++++++++++++-------I am a progress bar-----------]

Buttons will be overlaid on top of the progress bar at the right-hand side.
Progress bar will be coloured according to the status of the torrent (active, paused, seeding, waiting).
Status colours of the progress bar will closely match the colours of the icons in the Deluge WebUI.

Once this work is complete, I'll pretty much consider this extension ready for release on the Chrome Web Store.

2.0.5 No web auth

Just upgraded deluged to 2.0.5. Remote no longer passing auth to connect to web backend (at least how it looks). Can't use client port either.
Regular web client access from other hots seems fine.
Not sure how to get a debug log related to remote but happy to help.

Add filtering

Should be able to have 3 concurrent filters:

  • State
  • Tracker
  • Label

No data shown or Connection failed

Running current version of 1.1.0. Most of the time the Remote Deluge window will pop-up the first time with a connection issue. I suspect this is a time-out issue during the login phase. Subsequently, the window will open but with no data displayed. I have left it a while (a couple of min) but no data ever fills in. If I click out of the window back to browser and then open again, still no data. I have set and checked the login info on the options page several times. I ASSUME it is reading that OK since I do not get connection error messages after the first time (or after a long while of not have the remote deluge window open)

  1. How long should it take to populate the window?
  2. on the options page it has room for the host and port and a folder after the port. Is a folder specification mandatory?

I have the web interface working and can login from a browser and view / add torrents.

Version 2.0

General:

  • Remove unused code
  • Use html5 templating instead of generating dom elements in js
  • Convert all CSS to SCSS and general CSS cleanup
  • Convert javascript to use ES6 classes
  • Move all Deluge API calls to background.js and use Chrome's extension framework to have the popup query the background page for information.
  • Investigate feasibility of using a newer frontend framework; something that will do more of the heavy lifting (e.g. Angular, React)

Features:

  • Option to show badge text showing the number of active torrents

Not working anymore on Deluge 2.0.3

Hi

I have Deluge v 2.0.3 installed on my Synology NAS and since it was updated lately to this version (before I think it was just 1.x.x) this extension doesn't work anymore as used to be faithfully... nor the delugesiphon which point that something is broken on the association, I tried older chrome version to verify if it isn't due to my browser (Edgium) or more recent version of browsers but the issue remains... so, I guess something it has broken.

Could not connect to Deluge!

Hi, I have a new install of Deluge on a fresh Ubuntu 16.04 server, Deluge 1.3.12.

I've set up pointing it at my server: https://i.imgur.com/Za7SKJv.png

But I still get the error "Could not connect to Deluge". Any ideas?

I have the same settings in the "DelugeSiphon" app and that one works (after a browser restart).

Thanks

Addition: Feedback Sounds + Label Support

Wonderful add-on!

Perhaps a user-definable sound or two to confirm the success or failure? Makes it quicker to deal with and removes the need to look for confirmation.

Label support would be a bonus too.

TY.

right click options not working

i have enabled right click context menu options, but nothing shows up on the menu
chrome 64bit mac.

so, what's the problem?

Can't add torrents from private trackers

Hi, I'm unsure if my update to Deluge 1.3.12 caused this, or the fact that I moved it to a new VM in my local network, but I'm unable to add torrents anymore via the context menu. The chrome addon "deluge siphon" still seems to work but I prefer yours. :)

All I'm seeing in the background page log is:

Context menu sending link to Deluge: https://blah.com/download.php/12345/things.torrent
debug_log.js:3 Link is a torrent
debug_log.js:3 Sending URL to deluge
deluge: Checking status
debug_log.js:3 Deluge: Extension activated
debug_log.js:3 Received message: undefined
debug_log.js:3 Object {msg: "extension_activated"}

Any ideas?

Make the UI for filters nicer

Unless I can figure out how to make the filters look nicer (ideally all on one line with the sorting), I think it would be best to have them hidden by default. Add an option in the settings to show them.

New Config/Nothing Works

I have it configured, everything is correct, but I cannot see anything in the extension. The only thing that does work is asking it to open the WebUI for me.

Reverse proxy URLs not handling correctly

Since I like to minimize the amount of ports I have open on my server, I use reverse proxy for everything I access (domain.com/deluge). Unless I am doing something wrong here, I cannot connect when not using a port number. I'm sure if I opened the port and used that instead it would work fine, but just wondering if this type of functionality is possible.

Rework the Options page

While the Options page is functional, some of the CSS has been a little borked.
There should be a setting to customise the refresh interval.

Support for selecting labels in Deluge Remote UI for new torrents as they are added

Is there a way to add support for changing the label for a torrent from the Deluge Remote UI? I see you have the ability to sort them by labels. When adding them being able to pick the label for it would make my life so much easier. Or adding a feature that if I right click on the torrent or magnet link that I can see a choice of options of labels so I can right click a link and it auto labels it base on that menu item linked to Remote Deluge -> Label 1 / Label 2 / Label 3 ... as options
