python-moos's Issues

Cannot create comms object

I cloned and compiled the code, and tried to run with python 2.7.10, but get the following error immediately upon creation of the pymoos.comms() object.

Fatal Python error: PyEval_SaveThread: NULL tstate
Abort trap: 6

Am I missing something that needed to be done when compiling?

Function Close does not work

Hello,

I'm developing an user interface using python-moos. Unfortunately, the function close doesn't work.

EDIT:

I've analyzed the code adding some MOOSTrace in the main Core library.
The point in which the Python interpreter is blocked is during the execution of the Stop() function on the ReadingThread_. Maybe this is due to a not correct use of the GIL?
