Steve. I am trying to run Raspibrew. I followed the tutorial at http://raspibrew.com/setup/.
When I run the program, it hangs up and shows the following " IOError: (Errno 2) No such file or directory: 'config.xml.
The config.xml file is in the var/www directory that I created and it has been updated with the ID of the 1wire sensor that I am using.
Any thoughts?
Hi,
Very nice project. I managed to set it up with my pasteurization pot for brewing :). However, when I wanted to tune it, it gave me strange results ie. the dead time seems to be almost the same as selection start. Is this behaviour as it should be? In the end, I had to export it and do the tuning manually.

Thanks for this project, i'm using it unintended as a sous vide controller :-)
The problem i'm seeing is that i set it for auto mode, with set point at eg 150F, it works for a while, but then at some point revisiting the webinterface it will have changed to off mode, without me changing the mode.
Do I need to have a browser connected all the time or?
I really like your system and would like to port it so that it runs a modified Bradley meat smoker. I currently use Industrial PID for my system. Is there a place for source code for the android application, on my Samsung S5 i don't get a menu button which means i cannot set the IP address to the raspberry PI to establish a connection. I will be implementing RTD temp sensor support for 4 internal meat temp probes + 2 RTD probes for pid controlled heating loops for smoker internal and pellet heater element. Software will control all aspects of a smoking session including feeder motor for the smoke pucks.
Your setup markdown page indicates a page on a website that you have lost, for what it's worth.
Hi. I cant get the automatic PID tuning to work in bootstrap mode. All other things are working well. I get to the step where I can select the temperature plot, but after making the selection (with over 20% increase) and dead-time, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Steve. Looks like the new directory structure needs to be reflected on the setup page:
It may also need re-writing since the setup script handles a lot of the content on that page. I'm liking the increased plug-and-play-ness!
Hi, I seem to be having an issue with refreshing the webpage, the first time I connect it loads fine, but won't refresh or allow me to reload the page without rebooting the pi, the page begins to load and then just hangs. New to this and have no idea where to start looking.
Any help would be much appreciated
Would this work for a homebrew fermenter fridge?
Edit: Sorry. got posted before I got to write this.
Hey! Great project. Doing some hacking on this these days and would love to contribute what I can, if you want to.
What I wondered was if we could make the templates a little modular? Because I would like to make some adjustments, but also contribute back. So a "theme" seems most natural to me, so I don't have to "hack" you already working template.
Thoughts?
Hi Steve! Running 35.0.1916.153 m of Chrome (up to date as of writing this), a JS error stops any of the temperatures or graphs from initializing on the web interface. Firefox works fine.
Nice work!
I would like to run this on a new single tier setup (just mash temp regulation for now), but am unsure of the hardware config that you used. I read the list of components. Is there a resource somewhere that could show me how to put them together? Cheers!
Will this work with the assembled version of the thermocouple?
Hi Steve71,
Really appreciate you making this resource! Using the PID code to control temperature of a hotplate.
I think there might be a small typo in pidpy.py
on line 116:
pid = PID(sampleTime,0,0,0)
I think should call the class:
pid = pidpy(sampleTime,0,0,0)
Hei Steve.
Try to convert the code to Celsius, but my programming skills is to low and it seems for me that it is involved many plases? Can you give me a hint? faq?
Also want to create a ssr control for HLT on a second sensor. Is this possible to do without any deep programming sills?

Hans
btw: email to you is rejected.
Hi,
Very nice project steve
I'm using this project to manage 2 heater with same method ( PID control ) ,without Jeelabs Thermo Plug circuit board (1wire and GPIO) and Jeelabs Output Plug (I2C); "the raspberry pi connected directly to SSR relay", but I can't identify GPIO Output (BCM or BOARD) number.
Even after the configuration in config.xml The output PID not working ...And parameter control only the GPIO control panel PUMP/STIR1...
Please i need help with this issues and thanks any way ๐
