When we click the contact button in the call to action, it reloads the page, instead of scrolling to the contact section.

This is happening locally on latest version of hugo, its also happening on the demo page

CONGRATS for this really AMAZING hugo theme !! It's really far from any other!
I would only recommend to put the social buttons in a nearer place in order to improve your (and ours XD) porfolio conversion.
I've seen yoour personal portfolio and those button works perfectly but trying your somrat hugo theme by my own... it doesn't render the social button, I only get a tiny white rectangle for each one, not even in the 'contact ' section where they were :(

Please, I would really appreciate if you could fix them in the 'about me' section. I have try several times but it is impossible for me ;_(

I got it running with no issues so far but I really can't figure out how to actually work with the portfolio part. Adding new *.md files to the portfolio directory and having them show up works fine but where do you see all the text that is written in the project.md file? As far as I can see you only get a picture in the portfolio section and when you click on it you get a gallery. But since there is text in the .md file I assume that you should also be able to land on a project page for that portfolio entry. But how?

I do apologize though, as I am brand new to Hugo (just started with it a few days ago). I got Forestry.io setup and connected to my site and I wanted to try to make it so that going to a portfolio item can give you the ability to not only view an image but in the slide-over name view, let you click to take you to a new page that is somewhat similar to the "About me" section that can have additional information about the

I am wondering if that is possible with how this theme is set up? I saw that with the default forestry configuration it had the ability to add a new page, but you had to create a template for the fields and such, so I tried to see if I could use the homepage as a template to then create a new page for the portfolio items, but I am honestly just not sure how I am supposed to go about trying to implement that and link to it from the main page using the theme, or forestry.io.

When I tried to use the homepage as a template, I created a new page and just filled out the about section quickly with a name and a small bit of data and then tried to save it, pulled that down to my PC, and then tried to build it, I ended up getting the following error straight away:

Error: Error building site: failed to load data: failed to load data: "E:\GitHub\instance-id.github.io\data\en\searcher.md:1:1": unmarshal of 
format "" is not supported

The file it created contained markdown data, but I am guessing that is not what it should end up being? I am just not sure exactly how I should go about making the new pages. Do you happen to have any suggestions or recommendations on what would be the best way to accomplish this with this theme?

A secondary issue. I am not sure if it is perhaps something I goofed up, but fairly often when I first load the page, the portfolio section will be overlapping and not laid out properly. As soon as I resize the width of the browser any sort of amount, they go right where they should as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/zvL87OE.mp4 As soon as I reload, they overlap again.

I want to change the title of "portfolio" for "events". I edited the config.toml file for this but the section is not rendering. What else is needed? Do I need to replace portfolio in the style.css file for this?

I also changed the name of the portfolio folder in content for events in case. But as fas as I understand this is irrelevant to what what I want.

Hi @somratpro, I recently began redoing my personal website with hugo and I came across your theme. I really like how it looks and I plan on using it for my site. One of the things though that I think it is missing/misleading is the download button for the resume defaults to opening the file. I think it would be really neat if there was a configuration option to enable the download attribute of , with an option to specify the downloaded filename. Tinkering with the theme locally, my suggestions below work and should be backwards compatible with implementations not using this feature. Please let me know what you think!

I am using your theme and there are afew services i would like to add without ruining the look of the theme and if i get icons from somewhere else it might not look as asthetic.

How to achieve the first format using hugo?

I am trying to add another section similar to the testimonials after the services section but I am unable to do so. In order to do this, I am only changing the class and id name of the section and the template for the new section

I really love your theme, I have a issue that when i run the
cd somrat/exampleSite/
and then hugo server --themesDir ../..

the websites compiles correctly.

however when I try making the public files my website does not render correctly. Is there a certain method to run the hugo command?

I am trying to add a new .md file under the content/English section (where it has files such as "about.md", "banner.md", "contact.md", etc.). However, when I run it locally, the new section (i.e., .md file) does not populate/show up. I tried searching under the index file to see if I needed to add anything there to "turn it on", but I did not see anything.

Do I need to do something to have the new .md post show up on the main page?

My ultimate goal is to add a new "work experience" section in the middle of the main page.

Thanks for the awesome theme. I'm pretty new to hugo, and wanted to try out this theme for my personal website.

I had a quick question on how to create additional pages. Currently in the demo's portfolio section, clicking on the portfolio image would only move on to the next image. I was wondering if there was a guide or place to learn on how I can add pages for each portfolio piece.

I am completely new to github, coding (forestry/netlify which I am using in conjunction with this Hugo theme). Please bear with me. I just want to get rid of the Portfolio section altogether. When I uncheck the box for that in forestry, I lose Testimonials section on the website (but it still displays the word Testimonials). Here is the site: https://jsnhubbard.netlify.app/
I am using forestry to have a graphic interface and not having to type in any code at all so if there are suggestions to fix this issue with code, I honestly wouldn't know where to input it but I am very willing to learn!
If you need more info, let me know and thanks for any help!
