Hello there 👋

My name is Suhas Kudlur Viswanath and I am an avid enthusiast of open Instruction Set Architectures like RISC-V. I mainly develop RTL for processors using the RISC-V ISA, some more RTL for data-centric architectures like PIM and some sw on the side to aid with the above.

Want to add some points to the documentation

Adding explicit error handling to struct vals

Add error handling to values of the struct where branches or repo names don't exist.

Add feature to clone non-personal (public) repos

Description

At the moment, gegit can only fetch personal repos (based on host git.config), Add a feature to enable users to fetch any repo by addressing uname/reponame.

Add options for host and checkout

Description

Check this struct out here.

There are two struct values "host" and "checkout" that need some functionality configured.

Host refers to the hosted service i.e. Github, Gitlab or Codeberg.
Checkout refers to the tags or branches that the user can specify to pull/clone a particular tag/branch.

Add tests to check if SSH is not configured

Description

Add some tests that run after the installation of gegit to ensure the user has an SSH key setup.

Take a look at this for reference.

Note

Brownie points if you can automate the ssh-keygen (via a CLI option, post installation) if SSH is not setup.
