Triggering a level fail will not restart the current level. The menu is still accessible so it is still possible to exit the game by normal means.

Losing should prematurely win the level (IIRC this is what original ZB does)

Triggering the known chain preserving bug (matching 2 spheres of the same color to a valid match in quick succession to save a chain bonus) causes the game to grant ~Combo x10:

Starting at level 3, you can pick up speed bonuses by making matches quickly, and the speed of your balls will increase after each match once you’ve maxed out your speed bonus. Once the hot frog meter is full, you enter hot frog mode, and can fire off three explosive shots, emptying your hot frog meter in the process.

In Zuma, ghost spheres' gaps can be used to make Gap Bonuses, allowing 2 lone balls in one area to cause a Gap Bonus when matched from the correct angle.

Zuma's ball physics has a quirk where shooting 2 balls of the same color to a valid match in quick succession causes the valid match to disappear as it should, followed by the second ball being matched by itself and giving score as well.

This is also beneficial to OpenSMCE as a whole for Survival/Practice.

Zuma Blitz does not use any powerup balls from Revenge/Deluxe, bar Tri-Shot (as a Power-exclusive powerup). Additionally Time Balls and Multiplier Balls must be implemented.

Likely caused by the new multishot system. To reproduce just enter a level and click on the Menu button when the spheres roll in.
