Oh, no the kernel has no host limitation. It's simply a consumer of saspy. I'm guessing the doc still says Linux only somewhere? Now that saspy can run on Windows, so can the kernel. Go for it :)

If you're using PC SAS, here is the documentation: https://sassoftware.github.io/saspy/install.html#local

This is basically a dupe of #28 . Sorry I didn't check there first.
Yes, the docs still list linux as a requirement. I'm pleased to say I got the SASpy part working already (finding the JAR files was tricky, as my current machine has never had SAS installed on it). Now onto the kernel!

Awesome! If saspy's working, then you should be golden with the kernel, as it's using saspy to do the work w/ SAS. Not to Jinx it, but you should be good! Glad you're up and running.

It's working. I don't fully grok everything, but I'm sure it will help if I actually read the docs. I'm pretty pleased, as I was unaware that there was any real SAS open-ness, if I may so put it. This opens a lot of doors. I can handle cross-system automation with python! Celery tasks running SAS! All decoupled and async. Thanks for your work.

That's great! And thanks for the feedback. I think you will appreciate the batch capabilities of saspy too (https://sassoftware.github.io/saspy/advanced-topics.html#using-batch-mode). You can even get ODS graphics and everything even in your batch automation scripts and write out the already complete HTML documents to a file sever to view right in web pages. If you find things you want to enhance, that'll be great too!
