@Chaseliu1992 can you add a screen shot of what you're seeing so that I can try and diagnose what is wrong? If you're using the SAS kernel with the installed extensions in a Jupyter notebook it should be showing the SAS color syntax.

@Chaseliu1992
I verified that I can get syntax coloring on both windows and linux.

Do you get python syntax when you change the theme back to default?
What is the output when you run this from the command line:
jupyter nbextension list

What version of Jupyter are you using?
jupyter --version

I did some research and Jupyter had problems with this but all of them seem to be fixed before V4.0
just to make sure it isn't a bug that is already fixed, can you update your conda instance?
conda update --all I think is the command, then restart your notebook server (not just the kernel).
Has the color syntax ever worked for you?

The syntax did not work for me ever. But I notice that the display theme does change when I change the theme to SAS_light. However, the syntax is not highlighted.
I update my conda using conda update --all, but the syntax highlight still not show up.
Thanks

Hi Jared,
I found that when I using the SAS_Light theme with the Python Kernel, the SAS syntax highlighting does work!

Hello Jared,
My syntax highlight problem has been resolved by updating my Jupyter from 4 to 5.

This should be a old version Jupyter bug.
Thanks for your kindly help!
