This seems to suggest that there is a break between PopcornTimeCE and YiFi (yts.ph) that is pushing the popcorn devs to go to popcorntime.sh. Please address things either here or on your your site (popcorntime.ag) or even on Reddit. Users are really confused about what to think given the emergence of popcorntime.sh and its links to the original popcorntime.io infrastructure. Case in point: this Reddit post

This was discussed before, don't know if that was with the .ml repo or YIFY, but the issue, whoever it was with was removed.

When you click on the TV section it changes to an URL, this is not the correct place to have an URL. an URL is to click and visit a site, in this situation this URL is only telling us who the API is, which should just show a name instead.

Please place the URL in the preferences section, it is more professional being placed in preferences and placing a name on the GUI.

An URL serves no purpose on a GUI and is not professional design, this looks unprofesional now...

PTCE 0.3.8.5 uses YTS as a source for movies. Some of the movies from that source are not present in the source used in v. 0.3.8.9. It forces users to have two versions of PTCE installed on their devices. It would be really cool to merge the sources in the upcoming version. Meanwhile, perhaps, anyone can explain how to add a second source into PTCE manually?

Once PT is closed in full screen, next time when opened, it should remember it, and open in full screen again. Otherwise it makes no sense to press the full screen button every time, just annoying and eventually you leave it, however PT is best enjoyed in full screen.
I don't mean playback, but the user interface.
Some apps do remember it, like Wunderlist, and all Fluid apps eg., even some Apple apps when "Close windows when quitting an app" is unticked in General Settings.
Please implement it in PT, it would be a big step forward in quality.

Sorry, this is not a valid problem, but I think that missing a importat filter for movie/series list:
Example: "Movie/Series list with subtitles on your language"
By this filter everything else hidden other movies/series different or without subtitles. Many subtitle missing for many movies, and too much time to find the better movie with subtitles on my language.

When loading the original builds it's nearly instant, I'm experimenting and trying to develop an experimental project.

Why is the load time so slow? It takes like 1 minute to load the application while the original ones is instant. With loading I mean time between executing the app and it showing up.
Both in npm start and after building. How can we make our own auto updater aswell?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or whether the issue lies with me but I'm reporting it anyway.

For some reason, it is not connecting to my Chromecast to beign with as far as I can see.
When I select my chromecast on the 'Watch now' thing, it does load up on my laptop and then continues to display on my laptop, rather than displaying it on my Chromecast. It never seems to make the connection to the Chromecast.

Recently checked and notice the Strike search and api has been taken down, and is no longer being supported.

I think I am going to try and replace it with piratebay search.

When I paste, for example this torrent it starts playing random episode, in this case the 2nd. Same with other torrents with many files.. it no longer displays the file list to choose from.

Hi, I notice that when I watch trailer it's take more time as usual before the trailer start it's to freezing on the main video picture for 5 sec. and sometime a couple more sec. when I have watched two or three trailer sometime the player and time freeze for 2 sec and but the audio continue to work and then after 2 sec the buffering bar move forward to catch the sound and the picture rebecome normal I suggess you to check every file related to trailer it not suppose to freeze during watch trailer

In my opinion both www.popcorntime.ml and www.popcorntime.ag are a fork of the original popcorntime.io they just have a different view. The .ag guys are more focused in building a real decentralized version (like Bitcoin to make sure it's technically impossible to shut it down). We are all working very hard trying to keep Popcorn Time alive.

Well as you may have noticed, popcorntime.ml was taken down by the MPAA according to torrentfreak.

Popcorntime was never build to be decentralized, so yes it can easily be shut down by authorities. It's our mission to change that.

Would be great if subtitles be available in VLC, it might as well be all of the languages (why not?).

Hi I notice a bug when we add alot of movie or tv series to bookmark/ Favorite its made the bookmark apps crash the favorite seem to be there because there is no message no favorite found if I restart popcorn time everthing work well but If I clic on the heart there is still nothing in the section but If I search for the movie I Bookmark earlier the red heart is still there So its sems that when youve alot of movie bookmarked its cause an issue with bookmark section the only way I found to get it back its to clear favorite in the setting so by doing that I can bookmark again bat after a few there is nothing and its crash again it's look like all become invisible

Popcorntime.sh currently sits at number four in a google search for “popcorn time” and how it got there is a mystery. It looks a lot like the other Popcorn Time websites and on the surface it seems like their version of Popcorn Time could be just as good as the next one. The Symantec Antivirus Software detected a Sape.Heur Virus packaged with the windows installer. This virus threatens your computer privacy, but surprisingly it is reported as "very low". However, looking a bit in to what’s going on with that virus it’s evident you should stay clear of it.

There are many versions out there and not all of them has your best interest in mind. Here is a diagram that has been circulating on Reddit and attempts to put the current mess into an easy to understand format. It might help you navigate in the PT jungle out there.

Using the latest version 4.0.2 when I bookmark a movie it works again like it should. However when I want to go back to ''Movies'' the screen will be gray and I need to restart Popcorn Time.

Steps to reproduce:

• Click on the bookmark icon
• Click on any other button (for example Movies)
• The screen will show up like this http://prntscr.com/a7awoc and you need to restart popcorn time.

I'm able to see the tv series when I try to watch an episode it is stuck at connecting, and nothing else happen :(

Currently when I'm casting to the Chromecast, after a while the movie will stop. I can't click on pause/resume neither can I scroll backwards or forwards. Could this system be improved? Maybe that it shows the normal videoplayer when you don't cast to the chromecast? That will also allow custom subtitles for chromecast and a better working videoplayer.

I am a virgin to this world but I love the development that I have seen in PT CE and would like to make some feature recommendations.

When a video is being played a user should be able to navigate PT CE just the same. If the video is being played in PT CE and a user want o navigate they should be able to minimize the video player only and continue accessing all other functions. If the video is being played on any secondary device or player then their should be a section at the bottom of PT CE that will allow the user to navigate the playing video but still be able to access the rest of the PT CE functions.

I would also recommend the development of a playlist where a user can preset what videos they would want to play. Only one would load at a time and the previously viewed items in the list would be deleted from the cache but not the list to avoid it growing too large during a viewing binge.

For starters I'm not talking about github.com/popcorntimece I'm talking about this repo here; https://github.com/PopcornTime-CE, there is a difference between these two URLS

And from what I can see related to the http://popcorn-time.is which also has, I'm assuming a .ag domain? It then leads us back to this Github repo here; https://github.com/PopcornTime-CE which is saying this is the Official version?

So what account are you talking about being down, and operated by YIFY?

There has been a lot of confusion regarding the shut down of popcorntime.ml domain.

We have nothing to do with the fork of popcorntime.ml, we just made a backup of their repo to help them. You can see that the original repo at http://github.com/popcorntimece is down. This is just a backup. In fact popcorntime.ag repo is not yet uploaded to git, so there is no way to contribrute atm.

http://popcorntime.ag is based on .io version and is another community version with offical subreddit at http://reddit.com/r/popcorntimeCE, It hase some extra features like a better infrastructure (more privacy, decentralization and APIs). popcorntime.ag is mentained by developers around the world, but operated by the yify group

I compiled from source in Linux the version before the gulp changes were introduced, so I don't see how this is going to make PopcornTime not play anything.

When I click on a movie to play I get this from the CLI;

When I click on the TV shows or Anime, section, then click on a poster, all the blue cursor does is spin around and nothing happens. There is no output in the terminal for this.

When I tray to watch any movie with subtitles (any listed subtitle) is showing "Waiting for subtitle" and the movie don't start.

Issue #13 still occur with me.

On the latest version, when I cast something to my chromecast, the subtitles are half cut off (To low on the screen) happens with every movie.

I am trying to figure out how to use chromecast with the google cloud plugin, unfortunately I am not a chromecast. So far I replaced this line with var url = 'http://exampleVideoUrl.com';

However this doesn't work. What is missing?
