Hello, first I would like to start this with I am a complete idiot and have never used CSS so this is likely a user error. I am attempting to make a background music mod for a song I like, but I have noticed that when using the load unpacked part of the extensions site it requests me to remove a "schema_version": 1 due to a Syntax error. "Manifest is not valid JSON. Line: 22, column: 9, Syntax error." But when I remove it then the site tells me it needs the schema_version integer value to work, what do I do?

I think it's pretty cool if this feature allows mods that change icons or make it possible to add custom icons/links in the left corner.

Ex: I want a LinkedIn icon at my left corner bar so I can just add a LinkedIn mod that allows me to do this :)

When I upload the mod to the web browser the music file will not play I've already tried troubleshooting myself but I'm at a loss.

When i tried to upload the mod it says Invalid name in manifest.json i tried to change the name but it dont changed anything.

There should be an option to change GX Lights so as a part of your mods.

It would be better if we could adjust the intensity of some shaders, the Full Weather Cycle is great, but it is also very distracting, just like most shaders.

So, i was making a theme for myself and i've decided to put some musics that i choose, but when i loaded the mod into the browser, the musics started to play one above the other when i clicked on the screen. At first, i didn't know what was going on, but later i've discovered that GX uses vertical remixing to "achieve dynamic music in the browser" but i don't want that. Does enybody know how can i write my code to make my musics play one after the other?

when i have more than 1 song coded into the background music it for some reason a song from that list plays like its a browser sound( click, open tab, close tab) and when remove all but 1 song from the list it stops doing that

When I click install, the button changes to a loading icon before switching back to the regular install button.

Hello. I'm fairly new to the GX Mods thing, and i tried using the CTR effect, but it doesn't work. Is this a bug? Or does my device not support the effect? I'm using a laptop that runs on Windows 10.

Great effort here from the Opera GX team.

There is a bug in the background music of the cyberdeck theme. It sounds like there is a fade out on the end of the first layer track. I assume this is in error because of the nature of the majority other examples that all(?) are mastered for gapless playback. FWIW The front of the waveform has ~1/8s of lead in while the back has about 2.8s of lead out (a fade on a single chord/note).

Hey, let me know if this was a stylistic choice. If so, consider this issue closed. This is otherwise an excellent atmospheric piece that sounds like a perfect slice of the cyber-noir gene. I only bring this up because it has, pleasantly, graced my ears for many hours to date.

(BTW is there a credit for this track?)

Will there be a theme modification for Whatsapp web? Because now I have the Amoled mod on discord and the Damascus Triple Black mod on my browser but my whatsapp ruins the whole colorscheme.

hello! i am trying to make a mod and post it. it says there is no manifest.json file, but i check and i see the .json file in the mod file even though there is. i need help!

i made a mod using new audios for just about everything, and the click sound effect isnt working, neither is the background music. i have background music on, it just doesnt seem to work

From the start of the mods I tried to toggle on the "boss theme" music but it was not working. Due to my early access to them (the early bird feature) I thought that it would be fixed soon enough. Turns out I was wrong and it is still not working. What can I do?

the lofi chill background music seems to not be working.

I don't really know how to describe this but when using a small tab when watching something in youtube, if the video is square or vertical there is this issue. Check the following image:

• The ability to pick/change the mod by hovering the crosshair above / clicking the mod icon.
• The ability to turn the mods on & off by hovering above / clicking the mod icon instead of a single one button.
• Combining the main Opera theme customization with the mods; resulting the ability to change the theme, background music, etc... from the mod page instead of changing it from the setting.
• The ability to use the main Opera customization effects sounds, music, effects, etc... in the mods page.
• Adding the ability to change the background music using the music button from the side bar.

need help to this code the problem is that it tells me that the file has an invalid format manifest.json

Trying to make a little mod for my keyboard and browser sounds. Followed the templates and guides to the best of my abilities, triple checked that everything was all good. Yet when I try to test the mod through both the extension menu and GXcreate, I keep getting the error that the mp3 files don't exist. Has anyone else had this issue? Am I doing something wrong??

Hi there, I'm trying to add a Opera GX mod, and the one thing left I have is the cover art. I've tried some photos on my PC to get the minimum size for the cover art. However, none worked. Nothing in the site gives me any help at all. It doesn't tell me the minimum size. Could you tell me the minimum cover art size? Thank you!

I installed the mod "Hero of Hyrule", but when I restarted Opera, the wallpaper is completely black, and

the mod isn't allowing me to download it again, and it isn't in my installed menu. It says mod is already installed, but disabled. But, when I check my installed mods, it is not allowing me to even see it.

I had an idea of being able to change the tab labels, like the color or maybe use a picture for them, or being able to change the browser to a glassmorphism one, or make the lines glow, even an animation when a tab is opened or closed.

That would be awesome to have those abilities, but I think they will take some hard work if they were even possible.

The discord Opera GX theme has transparent post threads, which makes for a confusing scenario. While you can see the thread of the post, you will also see the text of the forum itself in the background, making it confusing and hard to read.

So, as the title says, I can't install mods that I once got after reinstalling the latest update. For example, I can't install rain ambient, which worked before, and when I press the install button, nothing happens. But when I tried to install Boss Theme, everything was fine.

Thing is, that its says the music file does not exist, when it is, this has been a prolonged issue and I can not seem to solve it by myself
I would pass the file but it says that it is too big, any help would be appreciated

I am trying to add a custom wallpaper into my GX mod, the code itself works but the wallpaper doesn't work, only the wallpaper I choose as my gx background appears, I went to settings to check if the wallpaper page had the "modded" text over it, but it wasn't there
I also tried to put animated wallpapers but they didn't work as well

I made and uploaded my own mod. Been working just fine for a few weeks now. I turn off my computer and go to bed like usual. Wake up in the morning, open it up, and boom, GX mod has been deleted from the store. No reason, no warning, I don't even know why it was removed or how. I wasn't sent anything in my emails, so if it was an ownership thing (my mod was based off a game I liked) I wouldn't even know.

Went into my files and now I'm trying to reupload it. Its the same exact files, no issues there, but when I post it to the public, then go and search for it in the store, it just doesn't pop up.

TLDR; mod was magically deleted overnight, no warnings or statements as to why, can't reupload it for some reason.

I'm a bit crushed. It's not hard to make a GX mod but its my first ever sort of coding project and I was super proud of it. It was the only mod for the game too, gave the community something nice and I watched the installs count rise day by day. I don't even know why, if I can fix it, or even how to fix it.

Not related to GX mods but since the feature was shown here, I am asking here.
As seen in the css mod template, we can use env(-opera-gx-accent-color) etc. to get the theme colors.
How would I use it in a regular extension? (say in a popup or a sidebar panel)
Just using it directly does not work.

I wanted to create a mod with background music but music are overlapping and don't follow each other.

I mean, I am sure you wouldn't get caught with just themes, and nobody has been banned yet (referencing better discord), but this would be a good way of Discord banning Opera GX as a web client.

I'd love it if it were possible to let users choose between a variety of wallpapers provided, just like how you can choose between shaders. I feel like this could open up a lot of possibilities.
