Maybe this can be accomplished by storing them not in a JSON'd dotfile, but instead in emails that get flagged in the inbox.

i.e. the user can configure certain words/phrases/regexes so that they will be displayed as something else when reading an email. Good for not having to see your dead name!

Contacts should be stored in a simple dictionary. When specifying recipients, the format @name should replace itself with the address stored in the dictionary.
