I think it should not be hard to have a toggle to display them instead of all mutations.
Nope. Taking my words back. It's a bit convoluted currently, because aa mutations and deletions, in order to be displayed, are expected to be linked to nuc mutations and deletions, and then adjacent aa mutations and deletions are grouped together, along with codon ranges, aa context and all that stuff.
In the meantime, private aa mutations currently lack some of the required information. Some type juggling and refactoring will be required. So it's not as immediate as I thought it would be.

We already have private AA mutations, it's just they are not 3-way split.
I think it should not be hard to have a toggle to display them instead of all mutations.
The 3-way split might later provide additional granularity. But I think it's a separate big feature. I would need to have an idea of how the input data would look like. I guess it will be similar to what we have for nucs, but divided per gene. And the code for the split will probably be similar too, but with an additional loop, for each gene.

Shame - would it be possible to show private nucs instead in the nuc view? Maybe that's easier? Or same complexity?
