Loading existing assets into C4D

I am slowing trying out the tk-cinema code.

I can get loader2 to see the existing assets from our shotgun instance

I can see our alembic files

I see that there are two options

  1. Create Reference
  2. Import

I select Import, nothing happens whereas when I select Create Reference, the alembic shows up in my scene.

Where should I look to troubleshoot the problem ?

Find method to stop listen Open, Switch Message Events.

In General, Cinema for now doesn't have python api functions for tracking open/save/new events.
I found a simple way with CoreMessage Plugin, that compare previos and new Project Path and also if path exists, so that give me event like system. But for now I have issue with double change_context exercution. I'm in research process to fix it.

Finding Way to Build Menu Automatic (Now it's static, prebuild).

For now I found only one way to build menu. I created prebuild Cinema CommandPlugin and load/unload them when context change.

  1. On the first stage I will find way to check all aviable applications on start and build plugins from them.
  2. I need to find more accurate way to build/rebuild main menu.

Track changes in M_EDITOR.

Shotgun engine track changes in M_EDITOR main menu, but If user create own main menu, he must copy Shotgun menu to own setup. I need to find way to check what is Actual Main Menu now.

Cinema 4D R21 - anyone tried

I am looking into the integration but the available eval of C4D is R21 so wondering if anyone have success with it.

The eval is only valid for 14 days so I though I'd check before starting the eval.

R23 compatablility

Hello, I'm looking to get this working with R23, at the moment it doesn't. After correcting for the Python 3 syntax difference, C4D just says that it can't import sgtk as no such module if found. And yet this exact code wrks fine back in R21. Any ideas whats going on and what can be done about it? Thanks very much.
