dropub's Issues

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because we are using your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we did not receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, we assume that you still need to configure it.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check your configuration. Make sure it will run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

Once you have installed CI on this repository, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial Pull Request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper integration’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organiszation’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.

The download page takes some time to show me the files

Hi,

Great work there. I tried out and it is easy peasy 👍 .

Here is one thing I noticed. After drag-drop files and generating the magnet link, I opened the link in the new tab and there was some delay in the page to open.

I understand that there might be some handshakes happening underneath, but some kind of progress notification to user may help.

Add a service worker and a manifest file for PWA

So that android users can add to homescreen and have the app act "as an app" add a manifest.json and a service worker

The app can't really do its thing unless its online but you can still have a good user experience when offline etc. Like not having the animation going while offline etc, when coming online animation starts etc.

Invalid torrent identifier

When I chose a file it seemed to be loading, but then I looked at the console:

bundle.js:9283 Uncaught Error: Invalid torrent identifier
    at https://dropub.com/bundle.js:13928:10
    at Item.run (https://dropub.com/bundle.js:4806:14)
    at drainQueue (https://dropub.com/bundle.js:4776:42)

Latest Chromium on Ubuntu.

Blank page on iOS?

Safari on iOS just shows a blank page. Is it not supported? Sorry for not debugging this, but I don’t have a Mac, so I’m not able to connect the page to Web Inspector.

URL shortener

Awesome project! :)

Would you like a PR that integrates a simple "short url" field that uses an URL shortener API to shorten the (pretty huge) magnet link? Even though I'm only sharing it digitally, it does look bad in whatsapp still.

If we don't want to rely on any extra centralized service, could we "assume" a part of the magnet link, like the trackers, just to save some space in our whatsapp messages?
