Summoner Energy Drain cooldown triggers don't work properly

It looks as though Energy Drain isn't read correctly.

With a trigger set to show when cooldown is < 8 seconds, it will always show (and will not show the swipe or time remaining at all) whether or not its on cooldown.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set up a trigger on summoner, cooldown - energy drain - < or <= 8
  2. Enter combat, cast Energy Drain.

Expected: Energy drain aura does not show until less than 8 seconds remain on its recast timer, and shows up with the swipe and remaining seconds once that is true.

Actual: It just stays solid.

Below is the trigger string for how I've got it set up.

unknown error when XIVAuras starts

Since updated to the latest version, the error always occurs and restarting game doesn't help. Anything I can do or any other information I can provide to fix this problem?

[Suggestion] SGE Addersgall tracking

Besides the job gauge I'd like to have a warning before capping 3 stacks. I thought best would be to have an aura for that
e.g. IF stacks 2 AND cd = X show icon.

[Suggestion] Custom Icons

First and foremost, I want to thank you for creating this project. Outstanding job! I can see the custom icon tab, but as far as I can see, it only allows you to choose from spells or ids currently in game. If there was a way to add custom art work, such as .png (or whatever ffxiv uses for their icons), it would allow users to further customize their UI and I think it would be a nice feature for the project.

[Suggestion] "Always Show In <Condition>".

There are some actions I want to hide while I'm sheathed outside instances or combat (to match HudMan hiding my gauges), and there are some actions I want to be displayed outside of combat while unsheathed (prepull reminder stuff), but I will always want my full display if I'm in instance or combat, whether sheathed or not (also to match hudman). As far as I can tell, this is not currently possible, so an override to Always Show In <Condition> would be helpful.

Feature request: dynamic icon handling per group

Currently, if you've got a group set up, all icons have their specific offset within the group. If you only show abilities that are (not) on cooldown, you'd have gaps as soon as an ability is in a different state.

Similarly to how DelvUI handles auras, it'd be great if icons could be handled dynamically per group. This way, users would not have to offset icons individually, but instead can use padding and group size to adjust the way their icons are shown.

For example, if a user only shows abilities that are on cooldown (or those that aren't on cooldown), these could be anchored to a specific point and grow from there, so no gaps appear inbetween the icons.

I understand that this plugin has been officially abandoned. I'd like to ask for your consent to adopt the project. I wasnt really sure what the best way to contact you was, so I hope this is alright. Currently, I have everything in a working state for the current patch, and I've expanded upon the bars feature you had started on. I've been able to add working bars; both horizontal and vertical, squared and rounded, as well as multiple color options with reversable fill options and automatic in-group sorting. Among other smaller updates. I am a beginner to all of this, so I am learning as I go, but I hope to add more features as well.

In addition to adding new features and maintaining the project, I'd also like to possibly run it by the XIVLauncher PAC for first party support, so I've renamed my fork to something that doesn't reference Auras. (That seemed to be their only issue with it when I asked) I understand completely if this is something you are not comfortable with, in which case I'll keep the fork to myself, but I value your input none-the-less.

[04.06.2024] XIV Auras outdated error message

Hello Community,

I am currently installing FFMods on my new PC. However I cant install XIVAuras via Dalamund because it states:
"THis plugin is outdated and incompatible. Please wait for it to be updated by its author"

Is this project still running? Ive seen not that much activity here so I am wondering if I can use this feature in the future or if its currently not actively supported by anyone :)

Feature request: Using several trigger types in conditions

I would like to be able to use the Value from a Buff trigger type in the trigger conditions of an aura with a Cooldown trigger type.

The use case would be disable the Riddle of fire CD cooldown if the buff is UP.
Current workaround is to add a Value < (Max CD - Buff duration) in the conditions for Riddle of fire CD, but that seems a bit wonky since the buff does not trigger exactly on button press.

This also makes the CD and the Buff up conflict, in the case of spells with multiple stacks like Riddle of Earth

Trying to find documentation on how to use this plugin

I'm trying to use this plugin as a replacement for Caraxi's no longer maintained RemindMe, which does what this does, tracking of buffs/debuffs. But I for the life of me cannot figure out how to set anything in this up.

I tried to start with something extremely simple. Track the status of Reaper's Death's Design on target.

I aimed for it to just show a big red square, anything at all, when the debuff was applied to target

But nothing shows up, when the debuff is on or off.

Is there any documentation for this? This UI is difficult to figure out.

Pet Abilities Do Not Trigger on Cast

Abilities like "Fey Blessing" and "Whispering Dawn" on Scholar are cast from the Faerie, not the SCH. This is causing an issue where the spell does not trigger an aura, and if you run the aura off a status, you cannot track the cooldown.

I would assume this permeates into other jobs with pets, like Summoner.

Hide X When Status Is "In Combat"

Unless I am missing something, it would be rad to be able to hide an ability when "in combat". IE: Soulsow for reaper is instant cast out of combat so I was thinking that I would hide it when in combat then display it outside of combat as a reminder to activate it. Let me know if that already exists then we can close this! :D

This looks promising so far, good work!

I'd like to see the possibility of creating custom labels, either entirely detached from the value of a DataSource, or being able to manipulate the value through arithmetical expressions, i.e. ([value]-2) or something of the sort. Might be a daunting task without NCalc or other packages, but you asked for some suggestions and this is what I'd like to see!

[Suggestion] Add a functionality to highlight timer events

Hi,

I am asking if it'd be possible to add some highlighting feature for timers, for example:

  • Flash/blink an icon if a cooldown becomes ready or a debuff appears/disappears
  • Set a larger font size & color, if a debuff is about to expire
  • Fading in & out an icon if a buff / debuff is about to expire (like the default WoW has it)

Basic functions require explaining

The means of applying a simple tracking status function is extremely difficult, without specific knowledge of how this addon functions.

It is unclear, for instance, how I am meant to set up the addon to track RDM Dualcast, Verfire Ready etc.

I have Dualcast set as status and the preview is on the screen. My trigger condition is 'Status Active' however the icon will not show when the Dualcast procs.

Could you perhaps provide a very basic guide on how to use your addon?

  1. could you share the Monk group from the sample recording as a starting point for the less experienced?
  2. Would it be possible to track resources on allies, like addersgall, lilies, aetherflow ? I'm mostly interested in cohealer resources but the q is general.

Energy Drain Not working as expected

I'm using the exact same settings as other icons, but Energy Drain from Summoner is not behaving in the same way. Namely, I'm only using the trigger for Cooldown == 0. But even after using the skill, the icon persists instead of disappearing.

Update status for patch 6.4

Is this still maintained? If so I'll wait, no rush. If it isn't then I'll look uninstall and look for some replacement.

[BUG] Potential issue with Sprint (PvE) vs. Sprint (PvP)

After update adding 6.1 support, I noticed my Sprint cooldown icon is no longer appearing while the ability is on Cooldown. After some tinkering, I found that setting the Trigger Condition to "==0 seconds" shows the icon even while it is on cooldown. I believe this is related to the PvP action Bolt being removed and replaced with Sprint, which has a different action ID from the Sprint action found in Actions & Traits. It seems that XIVAuras might be querying the PvP action instead of the normal action.

action usable trigger doesn't work?

I am using RPR soul slice, when I just do action usable trigger it doesn't work, Have to add cooldown ==0 for it to work
Then when I get to higher level now I have 2 charges of Soul slice, the aura just stops working altogether.

Am I doing something wrong? is there a way just to make the aura appear when it's usable?

[Suggestion] Visibility conditional for PvP/Non PvP

Since abilities and buffs are wildly different between PvE and PvP, there are many elements that should show only in PvE or only in PvP.

However, there's no clear way to check that with the current capabilities of XIVAuras: conditioning on a Cooldown -> 29057 (Sprint PvP) -> Action Is/Isn't Usable gets 80% of the way there, but Sprint Isn't Usable while casting so the UI will momentarily flip on cast.

It would be extremely helpful to have Visibility checkboxes for "Hide in PvP" and "Hide Outside PvP" so that groups of PvE/PvP auras won't interfere with each other.

No documentation of how to set up XIVAuras

I dont think there is any documentation of how to setup XIVAuras. Specifically:

  • Track your own Auras
  • Track your own CDs
  • Track Enemy Debuffs on you
  • Track your Debuffs on the enemy

As an example, I'm trying to setup XIVAura to amplify the Shackles debuff from p1s, and also to monitor my Eukrasian Dosis III.

Are we able to get documentation on how to setup XIVAuras to accomplish this?

After most recent update decimals changes on the X and Y-axis don't save.

After updating the plugin to the most recent version all my icons weren't in the right position anymore. I deleted all the icons I had made and started from scratch and the issue I've noticed is that randomly the decimals on the X and Y axis for the position get rounded up or down, basically making it impossible to have pixel perfect ui. Because of limitations in the game itself, you have to bend certain icons to make them look correct, and with this issue that basically becomes impossible.

Icons hide when casting spells.

I can't say this is really an issue, probably more of me just not knowing how to fix it and I didn't find any toturial type videos for this addon. My icons auto hide when casting spells. And I didn't see any options in visability to stop this from happening.

Failed to Install

Hello - ever since patch 6.11 in FF14, my XIV auras have stopped working and every time I try to reinstall them I get the message "Failed to install plugin XIVAuras. Please restart your game and try again.". I have restarted the game many times to no avail, as well as completely removing the repository from Dalamud and attempting to reinstall it (to the same effect). What else can I try to potentially remedy this issue?
