local_manifests's Issues

Possible solution to wifi problems due to difference in kernel and wifi modules

There are several users who complain about Wifi not working after kernel (boot.img) flash.

This is mostly due to Wifi modules are not inside boot.img but they are inside NIGHTLY (/system/lib/modules) zip.

If kernel version is version X but modules inside nightly are of version Y, wifi will not work.

If you integrate wifi module in boot.img (kernel) instead of nightly zip, this issue should possibly resolve on its own.

People will stop complaining about wifi not working and we do not have to keep asking them to flash the kernel inside the zip (although that is recommended)

This will also help in porting kernel (boot.img), trying different kernels etc. giving more flexibility.

No touchscreen after flashing the rom

After flashing the rom, the touch screen is not responding.

I used a Xperia arc S with cm-10.2_anzu-LX-20130809-NIGHTLY and cm-10.2-20130815-UNOFFICIAL-anzu.

[10.1-10.2-11.0] Congested keypad on Lock Screen

I am using CM10.2 on Sony Xperia Mini Pro (Mango). When I set a lock security with PIN, the numbers on the keypad are overlapping on each other. The second line starts over the below part of 1st line.

Is there a way to reduce the size of the keypad so that it will fit on the screen? I tried removing the weather panel and alarm panel from the lock screen, but it is not working.

Thank You.
Murthi.

cm 10.2: Wifi is disturbing other wifi clients

When i transfer a file from my notebook i can see the thruput (win 8) and see a very unstable value when wifi is enabled on my xperia ray. Values range is from 1,5 MB/s to 0 MB/s. The Ray is in deep standby and has no active data transmission.
When wifi is disabled on ray the thruput is stable round about 2,2 MB/s to 1,7 MB/s

When the Notebook is in a room with less signal strenght the connection is completely disturbed and no data transfer is possible at all. But the connection itself to the wifi network is still there.

This behaviour is intruduced with the cm 10.2 first alpha image and still there on the second alpha :-/

Back button doesn't work while using high memory consuming apps

when using heavy memory consuming apps like games the back button doesn't close the app or minimize it sometimes when you press back button it brings up a previously closed app it continues for 2-3 apps and then the back button stops functioning i have to press home button to get back to the home screen and manually kill the app

Some bugs to FixIt

Hey, good job! Thank you very much, man!

SEMC Xperia Mini ST15i on CM10.2 from 2013-08-19.
Russia, St. Petersburg.

But unfortunately there are a few bugs... Here is some of it:
1.1. Already talked about the camera... Standard app: preview is buggy, but works... sorry, I can't assess how well. Hm...
1.2. Focal: good app (in potential), but very VERY unstable: some crashes are BIG annoying.
1.2.1. HDR don't works correctly (at lest in auto-mode) - the camera simply takes three shots at different exposures, without putting them on top of each other.
1.2.2. Video don't works - appcrash!
1.2.3. PicSphere don't works... preview as bad as standard app too, tap on shot-button - appcrash.
1.2.4. Panorama don't works ;(((((
2. Google Play Market 4.3.11 don't works - without crash alarm message or ANR, just... tap on him - and the app closes instantly. And doesn't matter whether the app system or user.
3. Tap on SELinux in Settings - freeze and reboot (O_O)
4. Display autobrightless don't works correctly - it needs a very bright light, so that the phone realized that I needed to make the screen brighter. If the light is off - display will still be at the same brightness. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? And I'm a fool, and everything is as it should be? oO
5. I don't know why but device don't works with some SIM-cards. I mean... Displays the alarm "com.android.phone stopped" (or something like that) and the device can not detect the network + the status bar can not be lowered for example (oO). Everything works fine with the SIM card from the operator "MTS" ("Mobile TeleSystems") (2G and 3G network names "MTS-RUS").
Inserted the SIM card from operator MegaFon - the problems started, sensor rarely responds to touch.
Where is the problem - in SIM-card or in device?

That's not all, but I could not remember everything at once.

Excuse me, please, if something was not clear - I'm still not adequately speak English ...)

Fix it :) Good luck!

High battery drain with bluetooth headset connected

Drain is about 10% per hour when my Sony VH 110 is connected to my phone (st15i). According to BetterBatteryStats, with bluetooth connected, phone does not go to Deep Sleep mode, but stays always awake.
This happens not when phone's bluetooth is activated and my headset is off.

Home Button not working on anzu

with both nightly builds of cm 10.2 from basketbuild, the home button on my anzu device has no function. back and menu buttons work properly.

Busybox issue

Do only i have problems with busybox on mango?
Trying to use mounts2sd, but it shows busybox not configured correctly. I tried to download other from market but all instalations fail.
Build 28/8/13, included kernel used.

Titanium Backup Problems

I've flashed Mike's latest nightly 10.2 ROM (29 Aug) three times and keep coming up against the same problems. Whenever I try to uninstall an app via Titanium it keeps flagging up a 'failed to locate the apk file' message. Whenever I try to restore an app via Titanium it just goes into a 'restoring app' loop until I eventually have to restart the phone - and obviously no restored app is to be found. Titanium also asked for, and got, root access so I don't think there's a problem there. Maybe there's something amiss somewhere with the folders Titanium is reading? Thing is, the folder Titanium is reading the backups from is where the backups are actually located.. so I can't see what the problem is.

One thing I did notice, CWM is quite laggy and also lists my sdcard as 'sdcard0', might this have something to do with it?

Wifi does not work on 802.1x EAP

I am not able to connect Wifi on my Office network (802.1x EAP). I am asked to give my User id and Password, when I enter user ID and password it shows connecting but does not get connected. Please find the logcat of the same at the below link.

Not able to add music files to specific contacts

Hi --

I am trying to add a specific ringtone to a contact, I am using Jellybean 4.3 on my xperia neo v. running CM-10.2, I dont see an option to add custom ringtone to the contacts. When select add ringtones it only shows the default.

Request to enable PPPoE in kernel

Is it possible to enable PPPoE in kernel? ie. can you set and CONFIG_PPPOE=y?

The reason is this allows me to use my ADSL / PPPOE / wifi router in bridged mode.

There are many users asking for this feature on android:
http://www.google.com/search?q=android%20pppoe

There is app too but it appears not to work anymore on Jellybean plus its chinese and ad based. (so I do not trust either)

Thanks in advance.

Calendar events get erased when connected to the internet

Hi --

I have configured few calendar events on my xperia neo v running JB4.3 ( CM-10.2), Whenever I connect to the internet the calendar events get erased. I have to restore the events from the backup everytime whenever I connect to the internet.

Please let me know how to solve this issue.

[urushi] [cm10.2-20130828] WiFi

Just updated to the new nightly. Now Camera app works okay, but WiFi doesn't even work. ( in the last nightly wifi was just dropped sometimes, but disable and enable wifi and was okay again)
If needed any log or something I can help with the problem, let me know.

[Trebuchet] Apps moved to SD: home screen shortcuts disappear sometimes

Device : Haida
CM 10.2
Build : 20130828
Trebuchet : com.cyanogenmod.trebuchet, version 1.0

After reboot, but it does not occur anytime. Shortcuts on my home screen disappear, but only apps moved to sdcard.

Is it mounting sdcard too late (after trebuchet starts) ?

Apps remain installed, though.

Wifi apps always scanning

When wifi is enabled and I open Router keygen or penetrate pro for example, it doesn´t detect any network, always shows scanning......... If I enter this apps with wifi off (and the app auto enable wifi), they works. Can you take a look on that? Thanks
