from local_manifests.

palcipalci avatar palcipalci commented on September 14, 2024

Hi.

I follow full procedure of install new Rom
/original i have stock rom: WT19i_4.1.B.0.587_Generic/

I mean, download new
{Mini/MiniPro/Active/Live}[DEV][JB 4.3][CM10.2] LegacyXperia - nightly 20130828

Boot up to recovery  with boot.img file inside zip file.
Wipe all data, factory reset, cache, dalvik,  system

Install new rom.

After restart device, phone start up normally to desktop, follow on screen instruction
No errors, no problems, used about hour to 3h.
But after that i must restart device.
And after restart only Sony logo appear and freeze here.

Thnx.

You are supposed to extract boot.img from that zip file and flash it onto your phone first (google something like "flash kernel xperia" for loads of guides on how to do that). If you see the Sony logo on your screen you are using the wrong kernel and that will not work.

I know.

But, as i told i follow all instructions.
I mean that after boot up /to recovery/ with img file inside zip. Do all the wipes, install rom
Everything works fine.
Booting device is with cyanogenmod logo and i can work with phone after complete setup.
sending sms, pictures others, Logo and informations is cyanogenmod, lock screen is too new

But, when i do restart phone, and next boot up, only sony logo appear and restarting loop.

I must use another kernel? becouse in install instruc. is said that i need to use yours kernel inside that zip file

Thnx. for helping.

How did you flash the kernel ? Fastboot ?

Be careful executing : 'fastboot flash boot [img]'
and NOT 'fastboot boot [img]', this way only boots specified kernel image once, explaining why you'd stick to sony kernel afterwards ...

Yes, i know what you mean.
And i can you write full procedure.

At first step. i use flashtool 0.9.10
fastboot mode,
blue led on, select kernel to hotboot

install, automat. restart, boot to recovery /down key/, wipe procedure

install rom, install gapps, restart

boot normally with cm logo... wait 3-5min.
welcome screen, setup lang and other stuffs

Use device for an hour -3, i think everything work fine.

Then try restart device,

boot up.. sony logo appear.. freeze

I try reflash kernel with fastboot mode again, and it works only to first restart of device.
I mean, first boot up was fine, but after restart same thing

You should not select kernel to hotboot. Hotbooting means you boot that kernel once without flashing it and then the next boot you're back to the kernel that's flashed onto the device. You should "Select kernel to Flash".

Hi.

I apologize. I did not know what the difference is.
Thank you for your strong support :)

Now it is working fine, and no errors found yet. :)
