docs's Issues

Order of whitelist instructions

The GOKZ Whitelist instructions shows that you should first verify your server configuration, and later on configure the GlobalAPI key. This means that the advisor will always throw errors that the key is missing.

Might be a good idea to clarify that its normal and ask to rerun the advisor again later, or switch the order of the steps around, so that the key step comes first.

Add Cleaner to recommended plugins

I think it used to be a part of the plugin installation before, but I guess it could be in the highly recommended section.

There has been a couple different versions of it floating around. The one in https://github.com/Accelerator74/Cleaner/ seems to have been updated with a release pipeline, and it has the example config that works sort of (?) well for KZ servers also.

LAN usage tutorials

I have been helping some people installing GOKZ on LAN for some time now, and it would be nice to have a something regarding:

  • Adding mapchooser/rockthevote/etc plugins to the server
  • Add themselves to the admin list
  • Setting tickrate to 128
  • Changing mapcycles to the latest mapcycle

Usually people setting up LANs would also have trouble installing a CS:GO server themselves so if there's a tutorial that doesn't assume a working CS:GO server it would be nice.

Clarify verifying steps for guides with extensions

When installing an extension prior to anything that relies on the extension, the extension will not automatically load.
This should be clarified in the "Confirm this step" when following a step that involves installing an extension.

Extensions in SourceMod will not automatically load unless either:

  1. An already existing, working plugin needs the extension
  2. The extension has an (empty) .autoload file in the extensions directory, i.e. smjansson.autoload
