it looks like when you have multiple monitors and you install the plasmoid that it gets installed on every monitor. then if some update to neon/plasma/frameworks/whatever messes with the config they become out of sync. this causes the constant on/off for me.

a fix is to go to each instance on all monitors and make sure they are configured the same. maybe the location settings just need to be the same, im not sure. but if the settings are all the same across all monitors the issue goes away.

i dont know if when you install the widget on one monitor if its supposed to install on all monitors or not. but thats another issue.
