What changes are breaking builds? This plugin is published on both jcenter() and gradlePluginPortal(). I believe gradlePluginPortal() mirrors both jcenter() and mavenCentral().

It's not this plugin breaking builds. Long story short on jcenter it's because jcenter() mirrors google() dependencies unnecessarily. Re gradlePluginPortal(), does it ultimately rely on jcenter(), or itself is a repository?

I cannot seem to find the Github issue where I was told that it mirrors both jcenter() and mavenCentral(). I know it will pull from both if you use it. You can remove both jcenter() and mavenCentral() and just use gradlePluginPortal(). gradlePluginPortal() contains plugins and mirrors dependencies from both jcenter() and mavenCentral().
