Rain from Cars (effect)

It's similar to "Send Vehicles to Space", but it keeps going, and cars are falling.

Name of cheat: KeepYourEye or NewEra

Pitch Shifter + (Cesar Vialpando/Life's a Beach) Bug

So basically, when the pitch shifter is on it messes up the "Dancing" missions like lowrider dancing in Cesar Vialpando and dancing in Life's a Beach mission. I dont know if this is intentional but i thought i'd point it out just in case.

GTA SA 1.0 hoodlum

The mod just doesn't want to worл. After starting GTA sa, I launch the .exe mode. In the game, I start a new game (a strip of time and the inability to download the game are available). I press start in the exe file and the program runs a strip of time, but the game does not, and the effects are not activated at the right time.

More Meta Effects

  • Increasing, decrease or reset effect timers
  • Increase or decrease the next effect time
  • Applying multiple effects instead of one

Teleport to Mission

It's teleports you to a random markers, where you can start a mission, just right nearby them.

Self-explanatory. Makes it easier to rack up wanted stars and get busted for stealing a car (coz all pedestrians in cars are cops).

Black Screen

It'll work about 10 seconds and you can't see, what's going on.

[New Effect] Pedestrians / NPC explodes when run over

When you run over a pedestrian / NPC with a vehicle, it explodes like a rocket. Obviously, it would damage you. If too OP, the explosion would just be there for LULz or would only affect the area and not CJ's current vehicle.

[New Effect] Buoyancy

Air turns into water (water stays water). So, you can pretty much swim anywhere. For the sake of being fair, the player would have infinite air for the duration of the effect. Everything would act like they are in water / dropped into water.

[New Effect] Teleport Roulette

Self-explanatory. I saw your beta testing clips where effects were triggered every 20ms. So, this would put 3 random teleport effects in a pool along with your current location (worth 2 locations). Each teleport has 20% chance of stopping on and 40% for your current location. The effect would initiate a roulette effect where you will be teleported to the place but teleported again to the next very very quickly (obviously the two current location are inserted in-between) every 10ms and slowly getting slower until it stops (every 150ms, slows down by 20ms until the slow down reaches 1000ms). Obviously, during the effect, you can't move. On Hard and chaos, it's 4 random teleport effect and 1 "current location".

Autosaving sometimes saves corrupted data

After certain missions the game potentially still has some threads running that, when being saved, will cause the game to crash upon loading it.

[New Effect] 180 degree CJ Flip

180 degree flip's CJ's model which would make it seems like his head are his limbs. This is purely aesthetic; would not affect gameplay. Bonus: all pedestrians / NPC would be the same. With 180 screen flip, it would really seem like you are walking on air. lol.

[New Effect] The Ground Is Lava

Self-explanatory. Everything that would be considered ground would quickly damage CJ. Riding a vehicle would make it catch fire but if an NPC is driving a vehicle, it does not catch fire and you can safely stand on it. Etc. On the hardest difficulty, water would act as lava and damage CJ too.

I realize that is a lot of cars. Either we choose the memest of meme cars (such as caddie) and make a much smaller list (less than 10 cars) or allow a 2nd cheat to activate at the same time as this particular one.

Game crashing on LS and LV airports

Since Green Sabre mission (actually I think since Madd Dogg's Rhymes mission or a mission earlier), during Badlands missions (NMG speedrun route) every time I go near Shamals in LS airport the game crashes when spawning them in. Same thing with LV airport when going near the Dodo or whatever it was called but Shamals there work fine and vice versa with LS airport, Dodo spawning doesnt crash the game.

I dont know if this is because of my system, Win7 64bit, no SSD or that my Chaos timer is on 10 seconds? No idea
That was playing on original SA copy but I installed steam version and downgraded it just to test out if it crashes on that too and it does.

BTW, I'm new to github, how do I mark something as "bug" or whatever?

EDIT: I tested a bit and I think it starts crashing after alot of effects have been activated and deactivated because what I tested activating +5 cheats in a row every 10 seconds and going to airport or teleporting there doesn't crash when going near those spawns. Also I have all effects on except some vehicle spawns because that seems to be related somehow since they cause crashing too.
13 mins in with 10 second timer, got teleported to LV airport and going near the Dodo crashed the game, so that's like 78 effects

Photo Opportunity Softlocks

During the "camera mode" on Photo Opportunity, several effects can mess with the player and softlock them.

This is likely due to the player being on a "turret" and not being able to move.

Gotta special case that maybe?

[Fix] Game remembers on what radio channel you left it on

Something in all GTA games is how the game randomly(?) decides what the radio station is when you get in a car. In chaos, it would be cool if you could set it once and then in each subsequent car you get in, it would be the same radio. Would be useful if you only want to listen to "User Tracks".

DVD Screensaver's window can start out of bounds

When the DVD screensaver effect starts, the window doesn't check the window resolution and can start outside of the window , leaving the player with a black screen until it moves back in bounds.

[New effect] Reverse Paint n Spray (invisible effect)

Paint n Spray gives you 2 additional stars instead of removing them. If stars are already maxed out, player is busted. In chaos, player is busted regardless of wanted level. This effect would be stealthily introduced along with another cheat for the sake of surprise. When the effect is dicovered, it shows up with the list of effects. The duration, on all difficulties, is 10 minutes for having a chance of tricking the player. When player finds out, the duration is set to 1 minute on easy and normal. On hard and chaos, because you get busted, the effect just ends. Because the effect starts hidden, this is the rarest effect: when a cheat is selected, there's a 1% chance of activating this one too.

For the laughs, custom text should be implemented too!

On easy and normal (adds 2 stars): "Oh no! The owner called the cops on you! Hurry, get out and hide!"
On hard and chaos (insta-busted): "The owner called the cops on you and got you under control until the police arrived!"

Cheat Code name: Paint-n-GetBusted
Recommanded lengths:
Easy: 600 seconds -> 60 seconds if discovered
Normal: 600 seconds -> 60 seconds if discovered
Hard: 600 seconds + Busted if caught ->Effect ends

Lag spikes

When running without frame limiter, game just has these lag spikes whenever I'm doing anything (even when I'm in the options menu).

Set car/bike handling's fBrakeDeceleration to -1.0 or less and fBrakeBias to 0

I think -1.0 is minimum possible for fBrakeDeceleration, though I've used -999 just incase

This causes vehicles to accelerate when trying to slow down (works for reversing and going forward),
combined with STICKLIKEGLUE cheat it is even crazier.

It would be even better if handbrake would be disabled since you can slow down with that.
Note though, this can softlock some SF and LV missions in cutscenes

Self-explanatory. However, those places are generic and not necessarily "hot spots".

A list of place we could teleport to:

  • Gym (Code: YouNeedAWorkout)
  • Police Station (Code: OutOfJail)
  • Hospital (Code: Unwasted)
  • Fire Department (Code: Fireman)
  • House or establishment for purchase / house or establishment already purchased (Code: HomeForSaleNearYou) (Note: excludes Grove Street home)
  • Restaurant (Code: FastFood)

Drunk Camera

You are got drunk, and you can't drive a vehicle well.

[New Effect] "Speed" or Boom!

Influenced by the 1994 movie "Speed" where a police officer had to save civilians from a speeding bus where, if it slowed down below 50mph, it would explode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_(1994_film)

A bit of the same concept here: the effect would check for your speed (initial speed) when it starts. If you go under the initial speed, your car explodes. If you were immobile to begin with, you insta-boom. Very short effect.

Like the "disable hud", a new effect that disable all other icons / markers in the game:

  • arrows (blue, red, yellow arrows) from missions and other locations
