CMSIS-DAP Cat Programmer

Description

An Open-Source CMSIS-DAP Debug Probe based on DAPLink. DAP Cat Programmer is a low-cost $4.99 dollars debug probe based on the CMSIS-DAP (also known as DAPLink) protocol standard and USB-Serial conversion, and it can realize USB conversion to serial interface. It can be used to program and debug the application software running on Arm Cortex Microcontrollers.

What's DAP_TransferAbort for?

Hi Mr. Cat,

First thanks for your great work. I have found a variable named DAP_TransferAbort which is not set as 1 forever. It seems the porting work has left out something there.

Board design questions

Hi.

I have 3 questions about your board design:

  1. Why do you use 2 F.Cu and 2 B.Cu Zone outlines instead of just use one for each side?
2.There is a espetial reason for use 0.508 clearance instead a smaller one
3.You make a big loop on 5V or A4 pin in the USB connector, is that really needed, because fisically is the same pin, I think it's not necesary, or I'm wrong?

If you change the rotation of some components it turn out a simplier PCB routing

Trouble with openocd-v0.12.0

When I updated openocd to 0.12 I'm to face a problem:

Open On-Chip Debugger 0.12.0 (2023-01-14-23:37)
Licensed under GNU GPL v2
For bug reports, read
        http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html
Info : auto-selecting first available session transport "swd". To override use 'transport select <transport>'.
Error: CMSIS-DAP command mismatch. Sent 0x0 received 0x3
Error: CMSIS-DAP command CMD_INFO failed.

In 0.11 version it wasn't:

Open On-Chip Debugger 0.11.0 (2021-03-07-12:52)
Licensed under GNU GPL v2
For bug reports, read
        http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.html
Info : auto-selecting first available session transport "swd". To override use 'transport select <transport>'.
Info : CMSIS-DAP: SWD Supported
Info : CMSIS-DAP: FW Version = 1.0.0
Info : CMSIS-DAP: Interface Initialised (SWD)
Info : SWCLK/TCK = 1 SWDIO/TMS = 1 TDI = 0 TDO = 0 nTRST = 0 nRESET = 1
Info : CMSIS-DAP: Interface ready

Any ideas?

License question

README.md says,

Firmware released under an GNU AGPL v3.0 license. See the LICENSE file for more information.

The image says,

Software GPL-3.0-or-later

And the LICENSE file says,

GNU LESSER GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 2.1

Which is correct?

I believe in this case as ARM originating source files are licensed under Apache-2.0, rest of the firmware code ought to be LGPL .

Could you clarify this and fix the document? (I suppose the image can be just removed.)
