Eduhub is a community of the people, for the people and by the people. Our vision is to create an environment where people can learn and apply technical knowledge together. Our mission is to build a strong technical community which is open-minded and has an intense desire for consistent learning from one another in the community. We have been conducting and organizing numerous Open Source Programs, Hackathons, Meetups, Conferences and 1:1 Mentorships.

How to contribute

Contributing

  1. Fork it
  2. Create your feature branch (git checkout -b my-new-feature)
  3. Commit your changes (git commit -m 'Add some feature')
  4. In case of multiple commits squash them. You can find guide here
  5. Run the tests with Go Live and make sure all tests are passed.
  6. Push your branch (git push origin my-new-feature)
  7. Create a new Pull Request, following the template

How to clone repository and make changes locally

  click on the clone button (green in colour). This gives you a copy of the project. Its now yours to play around with
  • Using git on your local machine. Do this to download the forked copy of this repository to your computer
  git clone https://github.com/USERNAME/Eduhub-Community.github.io/
  • switch to the cloned folder. This can be done with Gitbash or the integrated terminal in the VSCode editor
  cd Eduhub-Community.github.io
  • Make a new branch. Your name would make a good branch because it's unique!
  git checkout -b <name of new branch>
  • Stage your changes
  git add .
  • Commit the changes
  git commit -m "Add <your-github-username>"
  • Check the status of your repository
  git status
  • Pushing your repository to github
  git push origin <name of your branch>

or

  git branch -M main
  git push -u origin main
  git push origin main --force
  • Navigate to your fork, on the top of the files section you'll notice a new section containing, a contribute button!

  • Click on the contribute button, it will open a drop down, click the pull request button on the drop down Note: A pull request allows your changes to be merged with the original project.

  • Wait for your changes to be merged

E-learning page of website

I'm participant of winter of code.
I have gonna through your website deeply. Noticed that you its E-learning platform is not much responsive.

  • It's font color is also dull on lower section of website.
  • Its UI is not up to the mark.
    Please assign me the work i will make it update.

Re-Style Contact Us

The contact us form right now is too bright and blinding and puts strain on the eyes, I would like to make changes and make it more user-friendly and easy on the eyes. Please assign this issue to me.

Misaligned text at the front page

Describe the bug
There is misalignment in the front page and needs fixing.

    Expected behavior
    I think it would be better if the texts are centered.

site is small on the mobile screen

Describe the bug
The site does not fit on the mobile screen

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Load the site https://eduhub-community.github.io/Eduhub/ via your phone's browser
  2. Pinch the screen
  3. See error on the right corner of the screen

Expected behavior
The site should be fit in different mobile/browser screens.

Home page ' --> ' comment mark is visible on the screen and Mid Content

Hello,
As you can see the Images there is a problem with the Home page regarding the comment mark also with the mid content.

Major Issue -

Why major issue
I'hv seen that every content in the website is proper but when I looked at the below 1st img (you can see the img below) then I check the responsiveness and thought every element is in the middle but why this is not performing well it's really too close to the edges.

I'm Working on this issue soon raise a PR.

Duplicate links

Hi, I noticed that there are duplicated links below the website.
The youtube channel link and youtube
I think it would be better if

  • remove youtube channel link
  • Make the social media font in bold
  • and put the social media links under the address, i guess? (to make it more aligned)

I can improve navbar issue

Hey @SahityaRoy , after clicking on navbar hamburger menu , the pages name text is not Properly visible except current page name text. So, Please assign this issue to me.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Simply in the footer section of our Eduhub community website, there is a section ( Connect with us). And our youtube channel is live now. We can redirect people or members to the main community channel rather than the @SahityaRoy sir youtube channel.

Discord link is invalid

Description
I clicked the 'Welcome you all' button in the website that redirects to Discord invite page link, but it says the link is invalid.

Steps to reproduce

I opened the website in my browser
I clicked on the Welcome you all button
The link says it's invalid

Expected behavior
I expect to be taken to the Discord channel after clicking the link.

Actual behavior
I am shown a message that says the link is invalid.

Enhance sidebar menu

As the options in sidebar menu are not properly visible and it's UI is not well maintained.So i can make it look good .Please assign it to me.

Improve the Our events section in the home page GSSOC'23

The section can have alternate sections wherein the first event will be to the left of the screen in a container and second event will be to the right of the screen in a separate container and so on in an alternate fashion and also remove the remaining --> comment from the screen

edit the footer

the footer of the website can be made more good looking bu the changing the ui of it and also center them , I would love to work upon this . since it the about the social media links it should look more attractive and eyecache since it is going to increase our reach therefore it becomes more important to make them look good

Improvising the UI of Our Events Section for Mobile Users.

As a GSSoc'23 Contributor I want to raise and fix this issue

Issue

The Our Events Section contents are not propely visible for the mobile users.

Solution

Adding a bit of padding or other alternative method would help improvising the UI.

Dark Theme Functionality

I would like to work on adding dark mode for this website as this will make the website more friendly to those who prefer dark mode .
