esteem-desktop's Issues

Problem with posting

If I post, then it shows ''successfully posted''.But when I go through the steemit.com.It shows noting.

Share link copy button not working on linux

When I try to share a post I get a pop up window with the link and text "Hey! Checkout blog post on Steem ..." but when I click on the copy button nothing gets copied to the clipboard.

I am using the initial desktop version and linux64 bit.

Delete notifications with close sign (X)

Feature request
Since I use eSteem mobile app, I know the fundamentals that how it works. However, on desktop, there would be more natural, if we wouldn't need to slide on notifications, but click on a little close sign on the top right corner. I don't tell we should cancel the existent option, because there are touchscreens at desktops, too. But we also have to think about the classic mouse users.

Post Links not working

A link inside a post when clicked does not direct to the other post instead it pushes back to your homepage.

Numerous dependencies missing

electron needs to be globally declared in npm as well as angular and some others I have not found yet. I will look into noting these more clearly in a PR

How to Reply to Comments?

This is fairly intuitive on the mobile version but is not that intuitive when your using a mouse at a computer. You need to drag left. then click on the icon.

It would be worth considering how this should work on the desktop app.

Load cards in approximate rows instead of columns

When I use the app in big window and there are multiple columns, the cards are shorted by date and time, 1 column filled 1st to the bottom, then 2nd column to the bottom, and so on. It would be better if we could see posts on the screen that are closer to each other in time (or in other criteria.)

The implementation of this would be easy in compact view.
In Card view, the better approximation of the placements of cards would require that the app have to give back the card's height data after it's been loaded. With that data, long or short cards won't be the breaker of this order.

TBH, it annoys me so much I'll test the app only with 1 big column. (I also like using apps like this in that way more, so it's not a big issue for me. I cannot speak for others, though.)

Voting Choice Info

A suggestion would be to put a popup info window for voting to give new users some more info about what the different options mean when they are submitting a post.

I found Power up 100%, Default 50%:50%, Decline Payout quite confusing when I first started using Steemit.
