We would like to add another media type to include maps in the BibleBrowser that function identical to the photos and the videos icons.
We organically thought these may be included under the photos, but in light of there being over 139 maps, it seems more appropriate to have their own icon.
Nathan is in the process of creating the Json.
We will need to include the on / off feature in the Settings.
Icon that looks like this may be nice:

There seems to be a constant scrolling in the desktop version of the bible browser app. It doesn't happen in the mobile version. Am I missing something? If there a way to stop the constant scrolling?
thanks
PS are you even in the mood to take issues? just let me know.
One of my favorite totally-free translations is the AKJV. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_King_James_Version (Here's a direct link to the bz2)
I was going to try to knock out the import, but:
I am having trouble running this app in Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge. I receive this message on all of the aforementioned (when I open the desktop version from index.html):
"%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --allow-file-access-from-files
First, this path does not exist on my computer so I can't run that command. Second, the reader works, but shows no Bibles available or anything else. The wiki is hardly clear about that...? In short, I have been trying for a long while to successfully run the desktop version in my browser, to no avail. Help, please.
ps, I may have asked a Q similar to this in the past, if so, I cannot find it anywhere. Sorry.
Need a stop button to cancel a search operation
What is the standard method to run this app locally? Can I use Visual Studio or nodeJS if so, how? Also I attempted to run it in Chrome by running the given Command Prompt, again to no avail. ps I really appreciate this app, I think it rivals andBible in quality. Keep up the great work
Remove MediaElement.js for Flash fallback since it requires in page scripting which Firefox doesn't allow. Use a plain Flash player with no callbacks.
app/search.html needs to be in the main app
is it possible to include this sql file of nkjv to use with this script please in the same way ? if anyone can make it pls let us know
nkjv.zip
When browsing images, there should be a button to go to the next image set.
In the reader mode of the inScript Bible Browser, add support for the read as you listen to the ESV audio by OpenScriptures. (rights requests are currently pending for the ESV and the Max McLean audio. (This should be included in all Treasures libraries by default).
A button in the top should remove almost all UI and leave only one column for simple reading mode.
The nav bar could appear on hover or touch or just be limited to a single bar.
It would be most helpful if a user upon HoverOver of a Bible Reference inside a Bible or Book (such as the TSK) would see a pop up of that verse.
An great example of this is the Logos Ref Tagger at http://www.logos.com/reftagger.
Upon moving the mouse off the verse, the popup would quickly fade out.
Or, if moving the mouse from one reference to another, the verse in the popup would change.
And, upon mouse click on the verse, Sofia would load that verse into the Browser.
When watching a video clip, there should be a button to go to the next video.
When I search for a string and I'm using Tischendorf, the text search begins with Genesis 1 and crawls through the entire Old Testament. I don't think Teschendorf has an Old Testament, so I'm not sure what data source the app is searching. At the very least, it would be a nice optimization to begin searching in Matthew 1 for Bibles that only contain a New Testament.
I hope the LXX & Apocrypha can be added. Some of us Bible nerds want to study the Jewish backgrounds to the NT, and so the literature of Second Temple Judaism is in focus. The Septuagint (LXX), Jospehus, Philo, the Apocrypha, plus the OT Psuedipigrypha, and the Dead Sea Schools (DSS) are the crucial documents for this background or back drop to the Jews like Jesus the Messiah and Paul of Tarusus, who studied at the feet of Rabbi Gamaliel.
Was wondering if you had plans to add Hebrew morphological tagging. I'm sure you're aware of these projects, and realize the work that goes into this. You have one of if not the best free online Bible study tools. Love your work.
Please consider incorporating from one of these projects....
