It can happen that the the window for the plot is showing up but is not responding or the plot is not visualized. You can change that by using another backend offerd by matplotlib which you can see here: https://matplotlib.org/stable/users/explain/figure/backends.html .
You can try a few of these and take a look of it was successful. Further there are many discussion about this issue on stackoverflow.
The default backend which is set by the pipeline is QtAgg5. You can change that with
