It's really hard to say what the problem is with only "An error has occurred" to go on. I'd try to find a more specific error if possible in your logs or by talking with your host.

The version of .NET on the server you're deploying to may be incompatible since the app uses .NET 4.5.1 right now by default. Also, the code creates a LocalDB database by default. You'll probably want to instead change the connection string in web.config to point to your database since I doubt your host will allow a new LocalDB database to be created. It's hard to say though without access to the machine or a more specific error message.

Since this isn't an issue directly in the app code itself I'm going to close it. But, feel free to post a new one if you don't get it figured out.
