cmdr's Issues

Generic MIDI mapping with all inputs and outputs mapped

Hi,

This is a rather unrelated ask, but as cmdr seems like a quite versatile tool, I was wondering if it could be used to create a .tsi mapping file that would contain all the available Traktor 3 MIDI ins and outs mapped to different MIDI messages? I would need such a file for two purposes:

  1. Recording all the MIDI outputs in order to record them and analyse the styles of different DJs or use the recording for macros by playing back the MIDI messages
  2. Creating a Ableton Live -style WYSIWYG MIDI mapping tool for Traktor by creating a small app that acts as a proxy between the MIDI device and Traktor and translates the messages in both directions.

I do not have a Windows machine where I could easily try out cmdr, so it would be nice to know if creating such .tsi files is possible before spending a lot of effort to get the application running first.

test winebottler to run cmdr in a macOS

I don't have a mac but would love to test this option. I used wine in linux many moons ago to run ultraedit in linux.

https://winebottler.kronenberg.org/
"WineBottler runs your Windows-based programs directly on your Mac.
This is possible thanks to a Windows-compatible subsystem, which is provided by the great OpenSource tool Wine."

https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=33084
"Check wine 5.7 it now includes WPF with mono."

https://wiki.winehq.org/Winetricks
"Winetricks is a helper script to download and install various redistributable runtime libraries needed to run some programs in Wine."

cmdr crashes in Win 11, consistently on File > Open or File > Save As

Hi

I'm finding that when I go File > Open or File > Save As cmdr 0.10.7 is crashing. It thinks and then closes.

This is Win 11, Admin and 'normal' mode, and I am not experiencing the same in other programs. I found 0.10.5 crashes half way through the 'wizard' however will strangely allow me to browse and select settings file.

I am able to open files through drag and drop, and save files normally. I actually lost a decent amount of work upon save as so within the program its appearing to be stable. Added 'Devices', added new commands, moved commands between 'Devices', reassigned commands etc.

I've tried disabling MS Defender and also adding the cmdr.exe as an exclusion but still failing at those points.

Appreciate any advice and/or confirmation of others with similar issue.

Cheers
