FE_transitions.rem_collapsed: set 'WRITEABLE' flag not working

One gets the following error ValueError: cannot set WRITEABLE flag to True of this array at these lines

reverse = cells.mesh.edges.reverse
reverse.setflags(write = True)

when the NT_vtx object is "unpickled" with dill and used as initial condition.
The numpy.ndarray.flags manual says

WRITEABLE can only be set True if the array owns its own memory or the ultimate owner of the memory exposes a writeable buffer interface or is a string.

Does dill mess up with memory?
