On Thorium AVX2, the site won't open at all because of Cloudflare infinitely checking for the secure connection. On normal Thorium there's no issue at all.

Loving the browser - insanely fast on Speedometer 2 benchmark. I'm using Version 103.0.5014.0 (Official Build) (64-bit), when I use the settings search box I'm greeted with the browser crashing. Also when navigating settings using the settings menu on the left. selecting Privacy & Security (I think I dont want to check as I'm logging this in Thorium. crash dump attached.

but I just discovered that chromium does not block heavy ads despite this option is implemented and integrated by default in chromium ! I tested with this site:

so regular classic version of chromium in woolyss site does not block heavy crypto ads and i test with microsoft edge browser and it blocks heavy ads, but Thorium browser does not block heavy ads it is an important option and i don't see more interest to use chromium if such important option does not work, please it will be great to activate this important option, thank you very much :)

What title says. Interestingly, devtools in Youtube complain that the maximum call stack size is exceeded. I can't provide a log rn because I don't want to suffer through the hell again.

It's due to the %cd%\BIN\thorium.exe part not being quoted, but just quoting it breaks the command.

I fixed it on my end by changing the start command to START "" "%cd%\BIN\thorium.exe"

Unless I'm missing something I'm not sure what the original /D "%cd%\BIN\" is for, as the working directory never changes from where the bat is anyway. If it's for just to feed an argument to START so it launches Thorium without keeping a cmd window hostage, then just a "" is the standard for achieving that.

i tried some of the special flags introduced by ungoogled chromium but it seems it dosn't work with Thorium browser, for exemple i can't disable qr generator, and dsable ipv6 with SetIpv6ProbeFalse, side panel.....it will be good if we can disable ipv6, thank you ! and also captive portal please, thank you :)

When I try to drag a tab out of a window so that it has its own window, the browser crashes every time.

@Alex313031 I checked your performance comparison page and I see that Thorium performs better than Chrome and Brave.

Thorium supports sync and updates extensions, the same as Chrome and Brave.

I'm genuinely interested, why should anyone use Thorium over Chrome and Brave?
Because it's based on newer chromium builds?
But as Thorium is based on dev builds, does not only monthly updates of dev build hold security risks? Or am I mistaken?

I checked your patches page, but I could not understand most of the things, because I'm not a developer. i'm trying to determine why Thorium over Chrome and Brave (especially when brave has built-in blocker.

Problem
Pinned tabs randomly disappear, leaving empty space where they should be and become unclickable. Issue is only resolved by closing the browser and opening it again.

It seems to be completely random, I haven't figured out the trigger. Sometimes it happens right away, sometimes it only happens after a while. My pinned tabs consist of youtube and discord. This effects all pinned tabs at the same time.

Edit: Changing tab scrolling to disabled from default in thorium experiments seems to have fixed this issue.

is it possible to haves something like this on thorium because if so then i would use thorium over msedge

The Discord web interface seems to be broken in the M109.0.5362.0 Windows AVX2 build. It runs fine with the same version on the Linux AVX build though.

Sorry I'm not very helpful but I don't know what I'm doing wrong here.
Was usung M105.0.5153 before and it worked fine, just updated to M109 and it crashes on startup.

Add Per Tab Webcam , mic , output device so that i can have a different one per tab or at least have different Webcam , mic , output device per user profile open so that i can have 2 different windows open with different mic and output device and webcam

first off, thanks for your efforts to build these AVX2 releases, I really appreciate it!

Both builds, M101.0.4921.0 and M102.0.4952.0 (fresh profiles used by completely deleting the profile directory before each test), are having steady crashes for me if running my Javascript based number-crunching app https://eas.forexsb.com/ It regularly crashes the tab with the infamous "Aww Snap. Status access violation". Using the "--disable-features=RendererCodeIntegrity" command line option doesn´t help with this either. Also, if going to Settings -> Search settings and typing something into the search field, Thorium closes instantly, there is also no entry in the event viewer that would show which kind of crash happened. These random closes also sometimes "just happen" while using Thorium for surfing.

Once using M100.0.4865.0, everything is fine and works flawlessly for days of number crunching. Also the Search settings doesn´t crash at all.

It would be great if you could address the issues. Thanks so much.

When trying to click any of the buttons on the sidebar of the profile settings panel on github.com, does not navigate to other pages. No warnings were observed in the developer console.

The latest version 103 finally does not need to use compatibility mode to open the browser, but when searching on the settings page, the browser still crashes.

thanks for your ongoing efforts with Thorium, I really appreciate it. If I may ask: would it be possible that you add a portable 7ZIP / ZIP version for every release? For example, the latest one only has this annoying mini installer, which silently installs it into AppData, adds 3 links throughout Windows (Desktop, Start Menu, Quick Launch), and even adds several registry entries for the notification helper EXE in the registry for the Windows CLSIDs and the OpenWith dialog. I really don´t want these entries just to extract Thorium from AppData - a simple archive, in addition to the mini installer for every release would be great.

@Alex313031 I am using your experimental x86-64-v3 build from Alex313031/thorium#112 (comment) as my daily driver since and it hasn't revealed any issues. In fact, it also provides measurable advantages over the normal Thorium-AVX Linux build as noticed in the WebGL Aquarium benchmark, hence I'd say it is safe to promote the x86-64-v3 Linux build to release status with regular updates going forward. What do you think?

I did a 30-minute benchmark (all 3 instances started in sync) with the app EA Studio that I am running 24/7 in Chromium and hence always test for the fastest builds. Interesting results can be seen in the screenshot. Just thought I´d share. Thanks for the good work and steady performance improvements!

Seems to be crashing every single time, sometimes showing the page crashed screen with the message saying Out of memory.
