bulkcheck's Issues

Doesn't work

Even though jq is installed, it says that it doesn't exist and exits.

The destination folder was wiped

Hi OP I have used this software few hours ago
I had run the exe file
entered the key
Selected the .csv
and the export location
run the ENGAGE Button and
bhamm my destination folder's content was wiped
gone !!!!!!
@AdmiralSYN-ACKbar please check this I have lost some imp files ...

Authentication error

Hi, I ran a PowerShell script to check bulk IP addresses from a .csv file format, It runs but does not generate an output file in the folder. I created a new key on abuseDB after creating an account. I am seeing an authentication failure on the PS console.

access denied (authentication_failed)
Your credential could not be authenticated: "credentials are missing." you will not be permitted access until your credentials are verified

I'm just wondering, apart from "Key": do I need to specify any username/password inside a script? or is there something else I am missing

# Reports returned is incorrect

A comparison of 3 IP addresses showed a vast discrepancy between what the Powershell script returns for the # of malicious reports versus manually checking the same IP address via the AbuseIPDB.com web site. Check 36.112.171.51 (script = 7507 / manual = 51513), 79.124.62.82 (4653 versus 94465) and 36.110.228.254 (4696 versus 104809). I redownloaded/rechecked the tallies with the current .PS1 file on Github and the conclusion was the same - the script is returning incorrect values.

Infected with Trojan.GenericKD.47061246 (?)

If I try to download 'AbuseIPDB_Bulk_Checker.exe' Bitdefender automatically delete the file with the following message:
Feature: Antivirus
The file H:\Downloads\AbuseIPDB_Bulk_Checker.JjtXBI7O.exe.part is infected with Trojan.GenericKD.47061246 and was moved to quarantine.

If I download 'Source code (zip)' and test it at VirusTotal a lot of vendors flag it as malicious.
The report is at

Both of the downloads was made from https://github.com/AdmiralSYN-ACKbar/bulkcheck/releases/tag/1.0
