Lots of applications have now there own "back" button inside the app, at the top/left position.
To navigate back in the config screens they don't use the native android back button anymore.
I feel this is getting more and more common and recently browsing through the different AIO config screens it looks to me it had become a habit and that I was missing this back button top/left to go back in the confi screen tree.

Adding a "back" button inside the AIO config screens, independent of android back button.

Widget-level actions would add a lot of flexibility.
Something I do for my keyboard is adjust long-press down to 150ms.
Perhaps an action modifier could be added; "hover", then use a gesture which applies a widget-level action.
Other modifiers might be to hijack the swipe left/right widget action.

When going home to the AIO launcher via the minimize app gesture (and not the home / back buttons), AIO's Search button doesn't respond correctly when invoked immediately - the entire screen will quickly flash black. If you wait ~1 second after minimizing, search works correctly.

To Reproduce

1. Enable gesture navigation (ie. swipe up to minimize)
2. Launch any app
3. Minimize app via gesture
4. As quickly as possible, tap the Search button
5. Note screen flashes black
6. Repeat with waiting > 1 second after minimizing app
7. Note search works correctly.

The Inspiration and Wikipedia scripts don't work for me. They are just stuck on loading.

I use a Todoist widget with AIO and it works as expected most of the time, but sometimes I cannot scroll inside the widget by touching and swiping inside its boundary.

When this occurs, if I swipe top to bottom, it opens the top drawer (the one with notifications and shortcuts for internet, Bluetooth, etc) and if I swipe bottom to top, I move down my AIO page as if I hadn't touched inside the widget. I can still interact with the widget in all other ways, including checking boxes, opening the app by tapping on tasks, and adding tasks with the + button.

Restarting my phone corrects the problem.
I do not know what causes it, although it only seems to occur after at least 6 hours since last restart, usually more.
Closing apps does not seem to affect the problem, nor does switching to other apps and then back to the launcher.
Edit: Swiping the widget right to open the "raise/lower/delete widget" buttons and pressing the "back" system button seems to correct the problem, too.

This may be a Todoist issue, I haven't opened a ticket with them yet.

Change how control panel widgets function. To allow them to mirror quick panel more closely

When pressing :-

wifi it turns off rather than WiFi dialog box opening up

Location pushes you into settings rather than just turning off or setting

Same VPN, mobile hotspot and airplane mode

Ideally pressing these switches just turns off or on the setting like in quick settings

With the headers set to off there is no way to maximise the widget. With headers on you can tap the header to expand a single widget

There are some apps i have whose name are not related to the widget they're showing. Also some apps app widgets work excellent with the clean-up widgets feature, while others don't.

I wish there was a feature where you could change the header name of the widgets and also set the widget clean-up feature for specific widgets only.

Hi, I have the following issue:

I've had the issue for at least two months I think, multiple phone restarts since then. I'm on a Huawei. I had previously used the launcher for at least a year, I think, without this bug. I have no other issues with the launcher apart from this one so far.

I use presearch.org as my search engine of choice. I would like to request this engine be added to the options in Settings -> Search -> Web Search Engine.

i currently use duckduckgo here but would rather use presearch.

The exchange rate widget is not updating or its updating with wrong rates. Kindly review and update.

When you switch to another app, there's no way to get back to the Settings activity.
Returning back to AIO takes you back to the homescreen

1. Go to 'AIO Settings'
2. Open 'Recent Apps' (OS level)
3. Activity is lost here, note the Recent App shown is not AIO, but your previous app
4. Press 'back'
5. You are taken back to the home screen

To be taken back to the AIO Settings.
Ideally, the Activity is also preserved in Recent Apps, so you can get back to where you left off.

Describe the bug
Blur seems to apply then not unapply under certain circumstances

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'Home'
2. Swipe part way to open side panel, then release so it still closes
3. Blur applies on open, not removed on close

Expected behavior
Blur is applied on open, then unapplied when closed.

Bonus feature request too: Might be worth transitioning in the blur as well (increase from 0-30% based on distance pulled).
It makes it less jarring on the eyes; subtle, but you still notice it for quick actions.
I believe its supported with the Blur API, it was how the notification panel "bug" worked ;)

I've also had other behaviours present, such as blur unapplying on Latch Open.
Likely all related to the same code doing your state management though, so fixing one will end up fixing them all.
I can push a test build through it's paces if you want

I installed a different dialer app (namely "Koler") from F-Droid. When I the dialer widget from AIO it does not start the dialer app but displays a error message that I need to set the google dialer as standard dialer app.

To Reproduce

1. Install Koler
2. Select Koler as standard dialer app in android settings
3. Start AIO with dialer widget
4. Press the phone icon in the dialer widget

In the English translation the interface says
"Hide Apps"
But in fact the behaviour looks to be the opposite:
When I toggle the checkbox in front of an app it does appear in the side menu.
When unchecked it disappears.

I've categorised my apps but there doesn't appear to be a way to add the category of apps to thr home screen. It woudl be useful to easily access all categories.

Perhaps categories could be added to the App Folders widget. That seems the natural home as categories are groups of apps and appearing in folders would make sense.

App Folders show 4 small app icons which can appear hard to immediately distinguish between each app folder.

Beign able to customise the folder so you can change it to a single icon to represent the folder e.g. game controller icon for games folder would make each app folder very clear. Icon pack support would be great

There are lots of updates of AiO and this is a good thing, but sometimes it's unclear to know what has changed or is new

Some applications that are actively developed are using a different background colour for the options in the config screens that are new or gave changed.
I suppose this can be done with an additional table in the database, that is reset after each release, and flagged as an option is refactored or added.

My new favorite launcher...

In the monitor widget, the screen time does not allow setting a limit, thus it can not display any "progress".

I think it would be cool, if one could set a limit. Then the progress bar could start filled completely (like 100% battery) and then drain until the screen time limit is reached (like 0% battery).

It's abit cumbersome to drag each app into App folder

A quicker way to edit might be to have a new folder button. You click new folder and then an app list appears where you can tick apps you want to appear in the folder. To edit ay any time you long press folder to go into edit mode

Tasks which are entered on separate lines appear in the widget as a sentence (see attached) so you can't identify each task. Also just looks messy

Pretty much on the tin. No Web results when using Startpage, only on-device results. With + without VPN.
DuckDuckGo results work fine.

When restoring after a backup the android - widgets that where placed are not present anymore

We have the "my apps" widget.
This cane be "copied"/"cloned" to create a second kind of "my apps" widget.
Apps/Icons can be moved from the original "my apps" widget to his clones / copies / sons / daughter widgets.
But it is not possible to do the reverse : living an app / icon from a secondary "my apps" widget to the original father/mother "my apps" widget.
More : il the original father / mother "my apps" widget is empty, and we ask to remove it, then suddenly the interface says this will also remove the other "my apps" widgets 😱

1/ possibly to move back from a child "my apps" widget to the original "my app" widget
2/ ? Make the newly created Cline "my apps" widgets independent from their original source widget ?

The possibility to create multiple instances of a type of widget seems very useful to organise the desktop.
But the (hidden/unexpected) dependency of these cloned instances from there original widget is confusing and can do lose some design work done on the desktop

My frequent apps menu has a bunch of apps that I haven't used in ages

Sorting based off of most opens in the last week and if it doesn't have that then sort by last month. (This could be customisable in a menu).

I imagine this could be implemented by keeping track of all the open times and counting back though them and then deleting all opens older than a year every month with a Cron job or similar.

After I've factory resetted my phone, AIO cannot pick any events from my calendar.
The permisson is already glanted but a calendar list is also empty in widget settings.

How can I fix this?

Hi, is it possible in the next AIO LAUNCHER update, in the Music Player Widget if the singer name and song title are too long to make them scroll without being truncated? Is it also possible to add more colors to the Notes Widget? Thank you

Describe the bug

When I enable the Notes widget and create notes, they get deleted without me doing anything, after some time. They get deleted in order of when they were first created.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Enable Notes widget

2. Create note

3. Create more notes. (I will investigate whether this step is necessary to reproduce the bug or if it happens even with only one note.)

4. After some time (a few days), the notes I created first disappear, while the notes I created more recently are there.

Note that I only ever created 4 or 6 notes at a time, so I don't think it's a question of overflowing some buffer by creating too many notes.

Expected behavior

1. Enable the notes widget

3. Create more notes

4. The notes I created before are still there, even days or weeks afterwards

We have now vertically organised "widgets" in witch we can put applications, and we have "categories" in witch we can place applications.
Ok, the list of applications a category can already be showed by using the horizontal swipe from the left (or from the right depending of settings) : ok. But sometimes I feel as if it does not work smoothly, as for example my phone has a case with a border higher as the screen: the swipe is then often aborted. Or if the desktop is not locked in AIO editor, the swipe has impact on the widget, or making disappear a notification as it is the same gesture.

As the script "widget switcher" I would propose a widget with the different categories icons that a user has defined.
The base gore this functionality already exists in the code for the sidebar.
And when you touch one of these category icons, the linked application icons would appear under this "categories widget" (I would suggest to show them inside this new "category widget" to not create additional widgets that could mess up with the rest of the composition of the desktop.

Additional context
1/ So the left or right swipe to make appear the list of applications in a category would not be necessary anymore and would not interfere with other swipe gestures.
And the (very useful) "category" classification would be more integrated with the widgets and the "vertical" scrolling logic of AIO
2/ the "vertical" architecture of the desktop of AIO would be more consistent, and the sidebar would only be needed if someone wants to see all installed apps.

When setting a timer in the Google Clock app, the notification in the pulldown Android Notification Drawer shows a live ticking timer countdown:

Whereas AIO's Notification widget shows "Empty - Clock"

3. Note the discrepancy between the Notification Drawer and AIO Notification widget

I'm not sure if AIO can support dynamic notifications like the timer countdown, but that would be ideal. If not, maybe an option to suppress these types of notifications would be a reasonable workaround.

This is one that does annoy me in control panel there is no way of hiding switches you never use e. g. I never use airplane mode, auto rotate, screen off, do not disturb etc

A, way to hide to certain switches so you have a clean and concise list of switches which mirror quick settings. Tick boxes perhaps in the same menu which allows you to drag them in order.

I really like the "extracted wallpaper" colors feature. The only issue I have with it is if the background is on the darker side, the extraction chooses the a pretty dark hex based on the majority of the background color.

This makes the extracted color a pretty poor contrasting color all of the darker themes...which are the majority of the themes. You can barely see the progress bars/timer buttons as a result. Even in lighter backgrounds the derived color is pretty dark.

It would be nice if the color that gets extracted is compared to the "background overlay" for contrast, then adjusted before its applied.

For clarity, I'm talking about this screen:

When I enable the notes widget in AIO launcher, my notes disappear after some time.

The notes disappear in order of which note was created first.

I will check whether the notes disappear only when I add new notes or regardless.

I love this launcher, but I noticed that it is causing difficulties with apps that have buttons on the bottom of the screen.

I have a Motorola phone and the default screenshot editing app has 4 editing buttons on the bottom of the screen. When I use this launcher I can't press those buttons because the phone thinks I'm trying to interact with the bottom gesture bar.

If I can find another app to use as an example I'll post back here, but otherwise you would need to have a Motorola phone. I'm attaching a screenshot here but it's basically a screenshot of a screenshot and might be confusing.

I highlighted in red the buttons at the bottom that I'm talking about.

If the "Apps menu style" is set to "Categories", and you select a category, and then go into landscape mode, I don't see any way to select a different category.

Potential Fix / Workaround:

While "Apps menu style" is set to "Categories", turning off "Save Position" in App Settings only seems to reset the app menu's vertical scroll. When the app menu closed it doesn't reset the category to "alphabetical".

If "Save Position" being turned off could also cause the the app menu category to reset "Alphabetical" on reopen, it could make landscape mode more usable.

Worth making all others Actions Tri-state. Could be a nice way to clean up the menu, using submenus.

I don't have perfect replication steps, but it seems to happen a few times a day with the Todoist Task list widget.

To Reproduce

1. Add the Todoist Task list widget to the homescreen (position doesn't seem to matter nor does its size)
2. Ensure there are enough tasks in the list the result in scrolling being necessary based on the size of the widget
3. Verify that scrolling works
4. [TBD]
5. Once scrolling is broken, it can be fixed by holding the AIO search and hitting the Edit button, and then immediately exiting the Edit mode

Expected Behavior
Scrolling should always function if there are contents to scroll. Note that I have not seen this on other widgets which allow scrolling (ie. Google Calendar).
