mate's Introduction

Mate

On both browser and node.js, Mate brings these features:

Promise-style HTTP request: GET, POST, or custom methods
A new way of handling events
Array extensions: max, min, group, sum, average, ...
Advanced timers
Observer: useful for data binding
Functional functions
2D point, complex number, complex math
Super natural testing

It extends the native JavaScript/CoffeeScript, and works consistently in every modern web browser and node.js.

Use es6-shim

Timers should default to running

Our timers are different from those like:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.timers.timer.enabled(v=vs.110).aspx

Microsoft timer defaults to "stopped" because whether to run immediately or later can affect the total number of events. But ours guarantees the total number, so there's less difference whether running immediately or not. Also we have startTime property that's for that purpose.

Maybe no need for `Date.Timer.enable`

In theory, it can intelligently enable it when it detects at least one timer is created.
