This is actually a ZAP restriction rather than a Zest one :)
What characters would it make sense to include?

Yes, the characters you've should be sufficient i think.Hmm,it is a ZAP restriction? I never faced this issue with ZAP but while defining the Zest rule, i get this issue.

Yes, it is a ZAP restriction. We have a nice simple method for checking for alpha nums, so I'll have to implement a new one for the extended character set we need ;)

FYI I included a requirement for the first character to be a letter, the rest can be alphanumeric or .:-
