booksorg's Issues

Feature request: double-page view

Is it possible to view two pages (of the same book) side by side? This can be very useful when we have a book with translation or commentary on the opposite page.

We can open several books in different tabs, and switch between them. But there's no way to open a single book twice in two tabs (as a workaround).

Feature request: move bookmark to another group

When I work on a project, I might add several bookmarks to different books. Some of these books become less relevant and I'd like to "archive" them. Or maybe they become relevant to another project, and it makes sense to move or copy them to a different group.

Speaking of which, it will be great to have a hierarchy of bookmark groups for better organization.

Feature request: move bookmarks

Sometimes I use bookmarks to actually mark how much of a book I have already read. When I read a few more pages, I need to advance the bookmark. Currently this can only be done by removing the bookmark and adding a new one. It will be great if the previous bookmark could be moved.

Feature request: highlights and notes

Bookmarks are pretty good, but they only have a name and a group. Can this be enriched to include searchtable tags?

Also can we add notes to a bookmark, or as a separate entity? Beside the additional text field for adding the text of the note, it makes sense to have a feature which shows all the notes at the current page... perhaps not the (entire) text, but just that there is a note here.

The current selection tool is great and lets me cut a piece of text and share it with others. Can we have the option of highlighting a piece of the text?
