This is a suggestion. Under "Options" menu > "Background" section > "Preset backgrounds" field. How about adding a "Solid black" option?

On some computers and devices it would be useful to set new tab to a solid black background. So that to extend battery life, and healthier for the eyes in low light environment or night.

I have variable IP address - every restart connection I have another IP. How to set up my current location (for weather) and not the location of the resulting IP address?

When I'm using an icon for a custom "app" or link, usually the icons are out of place or distorted in some way. I suspect the issue is related to icon size. Does the New New Tab Page extension allow for scaling icons? If not, what is the size of the icon that should be used?

Please consider adding a license to the project. Personal favorite is MIT.

No RSS feeds load. Not even the default one from BBC News.

Love this. Always use it, many co-workers dig it. I was wondering if there is a way to keep a certain grid, like a 3x10, which is what my monitor is arranged to. When I use my laptop, it goes into 3x8 + a 1x6 which doesn't look as organized due to colors.
No biggie, I will still use this for months to come either way, I'm sure.
