Unfortunately, very busy these days. I will give my feedback by the end of the week. Meanwhile, thinking offline. From one side, I don't need this use-case at all. On the other, it shouldn't be that hard to extend json-api-normalizer conversion process to preserve this kind of information

I'm not sure I understood you entirely. Are you suggesting making this a feature of json-api-normalizer? If so I don't get it. The normalized data obtained from json-api-normalizer already has this information. It's the transformation done by redux-object's build the one that looses this information.

Oh, I misunderstood. I think yes, we can have an internal flag in the object, which would mark if it was a relationship or not.
