Hello, i have imported your project. I would like to change the bible version at startup to german or to another version than Kejadian. is that possible?
I found the lines where books are loaded but i stuck here. When i replace the raw folder with KJV-txts the app crushes at the beginning. is there a way to avoid loading the raw files?

ini bisa jadi berhubungan erat dengan masalah lisensi alkitab terjemahan LAI,
dimana setiap orang wajib mendapatkan ijin dari LAI untuk distribusi alkitab.

jadi, solusi yang saya sarankan adalah:

1. default alkitab menggunakan terjemahan literal yang lisensinya 'free for non commercial'
   https://alkitabiah.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/alkitab-literal/
2. alkitab terjemahan baru bisa ditawarkan dalam bentuk download database terpisah agar aplikasi tidak di 'banned' lagi
3. bikin aplikasi web-based dengan php dan sqlite yang mudah dipasang di share hosting manapun.
   jika memungkinkan aplikasi yang tinggal 'unzip' saja dari cpanel dan langsung running.
   dengan ini, setiap orang yang punya akun hosting bisa hosting alkitab sendiri.
   dan jika sudah ribuan orang hosting sendiri di ribuan akun hosting yang berbeda, LAI akan pusing sendiri bagaimana melakukan sensor.

Hello, I want to use VerseView in CoordinatorLayout. But VerseView extends from ListView. So it can't be nested scrolling. Can you support the nest scrolling for VerseView or extend it to recyclerview?

I have moved the app to sdcard, but why does the Bible app still use more than 2mb internal storage?

Is it possible to provide a package that will install on Android 2.1? Currently, it will not install as the APK is not recognised by Android 2.1.

Is there any feature of the app that prevents it working with older Android versions eg. 2.1? I have a Nook ereader and currently can run either MyBible or MySword on it. It would be great to run Quick Bible.

Do you have any idea?

Please, add a option to include a external font (ttf file).

Many bible translations have headings/titles (example: Genesis 1:1 would have a title of "The Beginning"). It would be nice if these headings/title could be displayed.

Hi, I love the app. Especially split version is great for working on foreign language skills. Could you create an adoption to have split version side by side instead of to and bottom? This works particularly well in landscape mode.

Or forget the option and just switch to that layout when you go into landscape mode.

It would be nice if androidbible can use android text-to-speech. Considering google text-to-speech can speak indonesian, it would help more people to read (or listen) to devotion or daily bible reading plan.

In the Reina Valera 1989 version there are some verses missing in Daniel 12 (screenshot attached). I noticed some other verses missing in other books too, but I don't recall exactly which ones. I suggest removing this version from the list or add all the missing text somehow.

PS: unrelated, but where could someone suggest versions to be added? Because I'd like for Reina Valera Gomez to be added to the spanish versions.

Related to issue #44. When I use the German "Losungen" app (verse of the day) and open the verse in Quick Bible (Popup) it is shown in the KJV bible. If i click on the verse I am redirected to the last bible in use (German). It works different if Quick Bible was in memory when opening the Popup. In this case the last active bible is used.

I would expect to always use the currently active bible or the bible on top of the sorted bible lists. Also it would be great if the popup could be optional, redirecting instantly to the powerful interface of Quick Bible.

I'm working on a spanish hymnal and wanted to try it in the app, to know how it'd look, and to see if there'd be any mistake, but I couldn't find a way to test it. There seems to be only an option to download song books, and not to add them from elsewhere (unlike with the bible versions).

I think a single plus (+) sign at the top bar would be enough.

It would be great if there was an option to read with out the text being broken up by the numbers.

On android devices backups are almost difficult. You provide a sync server, which is fine. But I find that notes on a bible should have a strong privacy protection. So I see two solutions:

1. Strong encryption of the data on the device. But I guess that this would be a complete rewriting of the sync-process.
2. Allowing an export to the local file system. So no cloud is involved.

I would really appreciate to see solution 2 in the near future. It has the advantage that it enables to use the comments in other applications or context. If you can give at least a hint how to realize it, so that a pull request can be made.

I would like that Quick Bible has the feature of sync of notes with Evernote.

In the latest beta version, long pressing the middle top bar section to access recently read verses brings up the list but selecting one of them changes to the selected section in the background but leaves the recently read menu floating.

I would think it should disappear for me to be able to read what I have selected.

Currently when switching bibles, the book names of the active bible are used. In German some bibles use "Genesis" and others "1. Mose". (I prefer 1. Mose) It would be great if the shown book names would always be the same and customizeable.

1. It could be solved by selecting a book-name-bible. The books of this bible would be used whenever the book names are shown.
2. One could create small book files (bibles without content) and use them to override the default book names from the choosen bible.

Add option to hide the songs, devotional and reading plan buttons.

The code has numerous dependencies that makes the code not reusable and is not scalable. The documentation about accessing the contents of the yes file is poor as well.

Add a preference that would allow the user to start reading a book/chapter (ex: Genesis 1) and when they scroll (vertically) to the end of the chapter, the next chapter (ex:Genesis 2) is presented.

in other words, add a preference to let the user read through a given book of the bible as one continuous document (1 document per book).

I've successfully remove the google play service from alkitab project. I've found that the google play service library is used mainly for Tracking and Sync. If I remove the tracking, should we change to another library? And for sync, I found that it use gcm key as the id. How can we change the id without using gcm at all?

It's says it's not found.

Using YetToInternal.jar to convert from an .yes file not generated any ddd_revindex.bt. I'm using
s_BATAKTOBA.PDB as the source. Yet file is succesfully generated with PdbToYet.jar. Then I edited the generated .yet to fix some error in the format.

Internal file is successfully created by YetToInternal.jar and I can use it in the application. But without ddd_revindex.bt, the search function can't work as in the https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/bibleforandroid/zuZo3QlAfN0.

So, what should I do to generate the ddd_revindex.bt?

I want to fix those bugs. Where are translations stored?

I don't need the features required for Play Services, and I don't have Play Services installed on my phone. The notification asking me to install the Services is getting annoying. Could you please at least add a branch of the code that has this stripped out? (Side note, this would make the app more F-Droid friendly!) Thanks for an otherwise great app!

It would be great if I could remove the default KJV version, or at least disable it.
