Is it possible to add an operator method?

support operator method is possible?

like RecordWithOperator

record.operator = current_user
record.save

I am using RecordWithOperator, but this gem does not work with Rails 6 or later and has not been maintained for a long time, so I am looking for a replacement gem.

operator_recordable is great, but it only supports the following operator configuration method.

OperatorRecordable.operator = current_operator
