DevCamper API

backend public API to handle CRUD requests, user registration/authentication, role based permissions and user administration.

Written in NodeJS - runs an Express server connected to a MongoDB Atlas instance using Mongoose.

Basic Usage

Rename ".env" to "config.env". in ./config directory. Update config values/settings to your own. Register for a Mongo Atlas account, MapQuest or equivalent, and a mailTrap.io account.

Install

  1. clone/fork/download repo
  2. run npm install in terminal

Run app

//Run in dev mode
npm run dev

//Run in production mode
npm start
