I think it'd make sense to attach this to the tag by default. Semantics FTW.

I had a quick go at the demo and while the dates and months fit on one page, the years are paginated. The initial page that is displayed did not have 2014 and users have to flip to the next page to select it. Would be nice to have the page with the current year show by default.

There is no 29 feb for leap year.
ex : you can t choose 29 feb 2012.

icons.png hasn't been optimized. By running them through ImageAlpha.app and ImageOptim.app, I was able to reduce the file size from 1.88kb to 451 bytes. This is a savings of 76.01%.

There is no check for current month and year when setting current day. If it is the 25th, it will say the 25th for every month for every year is the current day.

It'd be nice to have this in SASS/LESS for mantainability / ease of editing / customization.

solution would be easy per instructions found at https://rawgithub.com/. The solution is to just change the CSS URL in the repo description from "raw.github" to "rawgithub". I saw the currently working demo at http://codepen.io/yodasw16/pen/ysnHl Very nice work! A screenshot to the error:

The plugin should have a default, unthemed version that's sensible in it's style so it can be dropped in by people who don't care to customize it.
