There has been major changes in the fancy.hist() function:
The error was returned because of the used of the function mclapply() but the package of origin for this function (parallel) wasn't specified in the code.
Now, fancy.hist() does not use mclapply() and consequently does not depend from the parallel package anymore.
Thank you for reporting the bug. I close the issue.

Some changes happened in fancy.hist(): "ncores" parameter is available again, and fancy.hist() makes again now use of the mclapply() function for the parallel package. The bug described should not arise again with the latest update.
